The positives are that this campground is very large, fairly cheap, the sites give you lots of space to spread out and provide plenty of room between you and your neighbors, the picnic tables and fire pits are good, the bathrooms are fine and have running water, some sites have River access, and there is plenty of shade from surrounding trees. The downsides are that roughly 70 percent of the sites don’t have a flat spot to pitch a tent, so you will likely be sleeping on a slope, at a slant. Likewise the picnic tables are frequently slanted as well. So that is a little frustrating, but if you can deal with it then this is a great campground with over 120 sites to choose from. I was there on a weekday during peak season and there were only about 40 sites being used, so I imagine there is always availability here, even when things get busy.    Read moreOh wow where do I begin!!!! To say the least I found what I was looking for!!! This is the real deal in camping... Serenity in the meaning of no outside sounds whatsoever!! Clean campgrounds. Accessible to all walking paths.. the cutest lodge, 4 Non campers... I've always camped Yosemite National Park!! Since Camp was closed in Yosemite.. we headed to Three Rivers National Park. And the national sequoias.. I'm glad I did not die, before I got to see this great beauty of ours... There is a convenient water spigot/recycling/ash removal tool at the end of the road just at the end of the campsite There was a bear roaming about a little bit during the day, and more in the evening. People were able to scare them away with their car alarms and making loud noises with pots/pans etc. We were able to make it down to the river and hangout in the river since the water flow was not strong like it was last month.
