My month long stay in kentucky was horrible. The staff was very rude, and obviously did not value their jobs, or take it sereously. When i asked for an extra blanket for my three year old, i was told that the manager did not know if they had one, and did not feel like going to check. I complained several times about the terrible house keeping. Then i had to leave notes to get my room vacumed or go ask to use the vacume myself as the housekeepers, all sat there talking. Finally complaint after complaint, i had to go again because we had no towels, and my husband was going to be back soon. the manager said she would take care of it. after my husband returned, a few minutes later, there was a knock at the door and it was the head housekeeper and the girl that cleaned my room. I told them we had no towels, i was called a lier, so i offered them to come and look. they refused, remained arguing and yelling. after they left, minutes later the headhousekeeper brought us only two big towls. no wash cloths, no bath mats, no hand towels. i decided not to ask for any because how rude they are. i would deal with it. anyway, minutes after that, the phone rang, it was the manager threatening to throw me, my husband and my two small children out on highway 60. she said the housekeepers told her that i was rude to them. UNBELIEVABLE!!! anyway, i would not stay in this motel again if my life depended on it. I was not expecting great service for the price, but this was nuts! not to mention, to get to any civilization, you had to travel about 45Minutes to paducah. also the air conditioners did not work well, and the whole month, i had severe sholder, back and neck pain from the beds that cleared up imidiately upon returning home. Also there were crackes under the door so when it rained, the floor by the door would get wet, and would also let in bugs. I would not recomend this motel to anyone no matter who you are or how much you can afford. Look around and make something else work, but do not stay here. oh, and the parking is...
Read moreEven though owners were very nice, the state of the motel needs some upgrades and refurbishment. After a roadside emergency, we were no other place to go but here.
The attendant answered the door quickly at about 1:45AM. We were given our room, 1103. The room was non- smoking and had signs for it, but entering the room the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming as well as a wet musty smell. The main comforter for each bed had human/man stains on them, the blanket under had a big cigarette burn hole. There were holes in the walls and some type of red stain on the back of the main door. The bathroom was no better than a dirty gas station bathroom. That cigarette smoke smell is unbearable and if you have any respiratory health issues, stay far away from here. The soda machine at the front is severely damaged, I spent a dollar to get a can of Pepsi….the can came out covered in a dark thick syrup which probably means something exploded on the inside and it has never been cleaned… the can itself is probably ancient due to the green mold on the...
Read moreWe traveled to La Center for a funeral. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Not only were our rooms cleaned quickly and efficiently, towels were delivered daily, and we were given all the coffee we could drink. The room was reasonably priced, pleasant in appearance, and well stocked. The staff also allowed us to check out later than usual to coincide with the time of the funeral at no extra charge, and was happy to assist us with anything we required. before we left, they offered condolences and hugs. Parking was ample and restaurants/stores were within walking distance, and the air conditioner was ice cold. Parking was ample and there was sincerely nothing negative about this quaint place. No noises in the night, no pests of any sort, and sincere, competent staff.|| If I were to have to travel there again, I would stay there without a second thought. These hard working people deserve the utmost credit, and I would reccomend this motel to anyone passing...
