I would rate it 4 to a 5. Everything was good. The only issue that I really had was the ac unit in the room wasn't working. But Emily, (the front desk staff) was very attentive and was able to switch me right away. So I just wanna give a shout out to the staff at Best Western in Bohnam Tx! And say that Emily and Shoshanna were very kind and helpful! They were both amazing and deserve the all of the credit! Shoshanna initially took my reservation the first night that I called so that I could reserve a room. She was very kind and helped me with the best deals that they had to offer! And Emily was also very helpful! As I stated before, that I had issues with the ac unit when I checked into my room. She was able to switch me right away! And I also explained that the tv wasn't getting any channels. She even showed me how to work their tv's. Since they are different than what other hotels have. She was very kind and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I would recommend it to other people in the future. In fact, I already did! My mother and grandmother were staying next door at the Holiday Inn Express. They both said that the room over there had some problems and that she spent almost double the price than what I paid. I even showed them how big and spacious my room was compared to theirs. And they both agreed that next time we go down there to see our family again, that they are going to stay at Best Western in Bonham Texas. So thank you for being great and affordable.    Read moreAbsolutely terrible. Booked using credit card points with my bank, and when arrived, front desk worker asked for credit card for "incidentals". The charge on my card was supposed to be a hold charge that disappeared, but the charge ended up being posted. I called THREE different times and talked to 3 different front desk employees, with one of them being named Stephanie. All of them told me they would tell their manager about this matter and issue a refund on the card, but never did. I am currently still being double-charged, approximately $300 on my own credit card and the $300 in points. Unsure whether the employees and manager are just simply lazy and forgetful, or fraudulent.
During the stay, no new towels were given either. Bed had brown stains and bathtub had hair, smear, and stains within. Room wasn't in professional condition, but wasn't negative enough to warrant a bad review or a complaint at the time. We only stayed for 2 nights. Now that they are unwilling to provide me back my double charge, I will be truthful about all of the hotel's and its staff's negatives.
Currently, I am disputing through my bank. I called back the very next day after talking to the 3rd front desk employee to simply check if they have finally talked to their manager. I called 3x. Twice the call either rang until it failed, and the 3rd time was the most unprofessional. Mgr.) cause she was super friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, accommodating, seems dedicated and very involved with what happens in the property. Fantastic employee. Speaking of the property, MAGNIFICENT. Not exaggerating. Helps that the hotel is only around 2 years old. Spacious room. All amenities functioned. Everything everywhere looks clean and shiny, including all the chrome fixtures, flooring, walls, elevator, swimming pool. Plenty of attention to detail going on here. Absolutely nothing looks worn down or broken. Breakfast was simple, but well organized and satisfying. Many hotels still don’t offer much to eat since Covid, so another plus.
