Nice inside pool and inside hot tub... plus an outside hot tub! The water was a nice temp in both! All staff was very nice and helpful , with the exception of the "security guard" , his ego needs to simmer down some... not like he is working at a Prison
Our 1 bdrm villa was really nice, bed was really comfortable. Everything was clean aside from the mantle needed dusting. You could tell it was decently new in the lodge rooms and grounds aside from the hotel. I was impressed they were expanding. Shower was wonderful... 2 shower heads and a 3rd overhead. Toilet was in it's own little area... this is always appreciated! Extra armoire in big bathroom to accommodate for extra luggage and hang up clothes for whoever sleeps on the hide a bed. The master bedroom was spacious, very nice, stepped out onto the large shared patio. Had a large dresser in the room.
The kitchen... the best I've had at a resort so far. Plenty of storage! Not a whole lot of counter space but with the extra storage it was enough! The living room/dining room was small but overall it was enough space. A bench with shoe storage at the front door... again, this is best we've had! It was perfect!
We enjoyed the game room! And would have continued enjoying it after 8, if hours were a little longer. We were a family of 4... no one else was around.... guard ran us out so he could go chat with his buddy at the stop sign.
While its pricey, like seriously, it was a nice gesture to provide snacks and drinks at poolside everyday! And provide, (pricey) floaties, arm bands, toys, etc. To purchase as well. Onsite mini golf.... kinda small and I would be on pins and needles with a toddler where it is located on a hill... but nice to have the option at no cost. Small little playground, needs a canopy over it for hot summer months though :-/
The outside pool with splash pad wasnt open (to cold) but it looked like it would be really fun for the kids! The outside pool connects to the inside pool we noticed, looked pretty neat.
The breakfast buffet offered, is... like a continental without all the yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. It was ok.. nothing exceptional, $5.99 a person. Waitress was really nice though! The building it was in (theater) is old. Definitely needs a good carpet cleaning and paint job. It would do a world of wonders for it. Tables and buffet area for were clean, but the carpet was nasty.
The porch/patio/balcony was super nice! Separate from your neighbors, and great size! Full table and 4 chairs, end table and a rocking chair with still room to spare without feeling crowded. I'm sure the regular studio and 1 bedrooms balcony was a little smaller but this on the villa was nice! It outdid Big Cedars Wilderness Club Lodges on patio size!
Honestly, the only thing missing was lake access. I really liked that it was targeted for families! There wasnt a bar in the inside pool, so that was a plus to me!
We would probably go back if there was lake side access, but for a winter stay it was perfect! And super close to The strip while still being out enough you dont deal with the tragic and noise.
We compare this place to Stillwaters Resort... which so far had been our favorite, family atmosphere and everything is close enough yo can easily walk... Welks would become a favorite if it was on the lake, we love lake access for late night fishing, walks, etc. And unfortunately they arent located in a...

Read moreIt is rather unfortunate that I am having to leave such a bad review. Upon arrival to our room it smelled it extremely 'musty and damp'. We noticed and felt that our carpet was soaking wet in front of one of our beds near the air conditioner. I promptly called down to the front office and brought it to their attention. Not even 20 minutes later the fire alarms were going off and we had to vacate our rooms. We then left- decided to leave for dinner and then would come back once all fire precautions were dealt with. Upon returning (over 3 hours later), Nothing was done with the issue. It was late, we were tired so we headed to bed. I did lay a couple towels on the carpet so that the water would be absorbed. The next day we were up early and started our day. Upon arriving back to the hotel I stopped by the front desk to ask if someone had attended our issue. The same gentlemen I had been dealing with said he did not know, so I said I would proceed to my room and will let him know one way or another. The issue was still very prevalent. I called down to the office-was transferred to a voicemail and never had a call returned or someone to handle the issue. I am VERY VERY disappointed that no one bothered to ever try to handle the issue. The carpet was disgusting and who knows what mold is growing underneath. So if you get room #306- promptly ask for another room!! My husband and I were suppose to do a tour at 830am on our departure day. He was ill and I arrived by myself. They proceeded to demand he still attend with me--vomiting and diarrhea and ALL. Jennifer the manager at the review center was the most non-empathetic person with the worst customer service capabilities. She treated me with no compassion, concern and continued to bad mouth me with her co-workers while I was still standing in her presence. Side note: also why would I ever entrust these individuals to watch my most precious children when they clearly have no personal perception of making a positive experience. My gut feeling was telling me all along not to trust them. And if I had to pay extra to make sure my children were safe- then sign me!!!!
Unfortunately, my husband, 2 young children and I were on the receiving end of these unfortunate circumstances. I am a paying customer to who paid entirely TOO much for the disservices we received.
I will add the only 2 positive things we endured during our stay were the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! The women whom served us were pleasant and gracious!
My family and I will NEVER again stay at this resort and will never trust the Branson tourism center and their...
