What can I say, This hotel has exceeded my expectations and the amenities were amazing and the staff was exceptional. I hosted my Family Reunion this weekend Sept 19-21 and my family was taen care of with the utmost respect, consideration, help, guidance, support and all the other amazing qualities of customer service. The weekend was coordinated a year ago starting with Ms. Selina. In Feb 2025 Ms. Selina informed me that she no longer worked for Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead Lenox Park and I was terrified but then I met Charles Jones the General Manager and he put me in contact with Ms. Elizabeth Alexander and assured me that everything discussed last year would be honored and It absolutely was. In June 2025 I was introduced to Sierra Jones, the Assist Manager, and she was very helpful and accommodating and I figured I was still in good hands. I would make calls every 2 weeks to get the booking status of the family reunion and every call was handled by Mimi the front desk representative and her customer service was so helpful I was assured that I selected the right place for my family reunion. Just when you think the review is done, lets fast forward to the week of the Jones/Patterson/ Thomas Family Reunion Sept 19-21, 2025. I had family who checked early and they were accommodated in the most loving, helpful way. I kept receiving calls about Ms. Mimi and Ms. Kim and I was happy to finally meet the women who had been taking care of my family even before time permitted. Now for the Exceptional Service award: Ms. Mimi was amazing. A family member was locked out of her room Friday 9/19 and Ms. Mimi worked overtime to get everyone she could to come to the hotel and assist with the issue and she checked on my 93 yr old family member every hour on the hour. My family member had medication that was locked in the room and Ms. Mimi stayed up all night with her to ensure she had another room to rest in but also that there was no medical emergency despite her having her medication. At that point I was SOLD that Ms. Mimi was an official and adopted family member. Ms. Kim and her breakfast request she fulfilled with no questions asked or hesitation was exemplary as well. I am so happy to leave this review because Marriot needs to know about the Stellar 5 star service provided by their employees. I wanted to know who I needed to call and graciously thank for hiring these two exceptional employees, and I decided to post it online for the world to see that Ms. Sylviette "Mimi" Odom deserves a major RAISE because she exuded everything you want in an employee to provide exception customer service to all your paying guest. From the bottom of my Heart I say a million "Thank You's" to everyone who made this weekend an unforgettable experience for my family from 94 yrs to 3yrs old, everyone was satisfied.

Read moreI would have given no stars if that were an option! We don't usually write reviews after a hotel stay, but I have to this time. Our stay at Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead was a horrible experience.||First of all, we received a last-minute email on our arrival informing us that they wouldn't provide breakfast, which was included in our reservation, due to first-floor construction. I find it hard to believe they had no prior planning for such a major construction and only notified their customers one day before their arrival, leaving no room for them to rearrange their plans. When I asked the front desk staff about the breakfast upon arrival, he looked into my eyes without shame and said, 'We have sent you an email already,' without expressing any sorry. I can't believe that someone can run a business like this. Actually, we were on the airplane when they sent the email, and then we drove for hours afterward. We couldn't cancel the reservation and book another hotel on the same day of check-in. I believe they intentionally sent the email late to prevent their customers from making alternative arrangements. We didn't argue with the front desk about it.||Second, the HVAC fan in our room made a huge noise all night long and didn't stop even for a second, even when we set the thermostat to off. The only thing that could cover the noise was the fan in the bathroom, which made even louder noises. We could hardly fall asleep all night, which ruined our itinerary for the next day.||Third, the hotel is worn and old, and the elevator is not safe. The control panel has some broken covers, and the elevator sinks every time you enter or exit.||Lastly, the staff was rude and unwelcoming when we checked in. I can't believe this hotel is associated with the Marriott standard. Overall, this was the worst experience we have had with hotels. Of course, I will never go to this hotel again. With a wooden ramp at the front, the swimming pool area under construction, and staging materials in the parking area, they can tell you that they notified you yesterday about stopping breakfast tomorrow morning without shame. You can tell there is no honesty. This also makes me question the...
