West Motel — Hotel in Brookside

Rooms are small and dirty. not enough electrical outlets. Needs painting. Long time before you get hot water, sewer is always backed up outside which means you have to go ask the "supposed" maint man to plunge the line outside. Seems like the rates are different for everyone! You are not allowed outside for fresh air! The owner/manager will yell and cuss at you and tell you to go in! (mind u, there are no windows in the rooms! one 1 door! Maint. man seems to think he is security (barney fife)! He tells you "no hanging outside" . he needs a little sheriff badge and a cap gun! Oh yeah, he never showers! He has too many cats in his little 10x10 room with no litter box.. but he gets away with it! And all he does for maint. is carry a plunger, and turn the outside lights on! He watches your every move.. especially when taking out garbage or doing laundry.. some people have complained of missing clothes from the washer! I think he has something going on with the manager! They treat guests like crap, no respect and will throw u out in a minute! And they wonder why business is down! Too bad that we cant talk to the owner and let him know what is really...

This is a good place if you need long-term roof over your head. My room has three rooms all together I have a bathroom it's not huge but it definitely is workable I have a bedroom / living room that has two dressers a TV a bed you know it's pretty good size and then I have a another room that is a full kitchen. I have a 4 burner stove and oven Broiler, counter ,sink, a full size fridge a table chairs basically what a miniature apartment would look like. It is a pretty quiet place. IPay about $300 a week. But really if you look at what an apartment cost you it actually is cheaper to stay here because all my utilities are included. Not only that but if I choose to three times a week someone will come in and clean my room change my sheets the whole nine yards. I have laundry service here and I don't pay for any utilities plus they provide toilet paper. The management here is pretty nice and if you ever have a problem with something they will fix it in a very timely fashion. If you can get over the stigmatism of a place like this then it is...

I Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! The hot water didn't work, the refrigerator didn't work, they refused to give me toilet paper, I never in my life been treated SO respectfully, and it's not like I wasn't being nice. If you need a cheap room nearby, I had a great experience down the street at fairwinds and The relax inn. The people who run this place are very disrespectful and treat their guests like they are worthless. Even had the manager cuss me out for checking out 10 minutes past check out time! The entire 10 minutes he banged on the door 4 times yelling for me to hurry! If this was the only motel with a vacancy, I wouldn't waste my enemy's money to stay here again!
