Settled on a price for repair only to have price miraculously raised... then raised... and raised. I guarantee the 5 star reviews were reviewed by the owner. STAY AWAY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
Addendum to reply- Below they wrote that the extra $65 they charged me was pre approved by me and that is a blatant lie. I pre approved $100.00 extra for the power repair on the tablet only. $65 was added to the price only when the final price was given, almost as if I wouldn't notice. I DID NOT APPROVE THE EXTRA $65. To say that I did, is a blatant lie. Let's talk about the added power repair:
When the "mysterious" power repair was mentioned I was told that it was a common problem that occurs with my type of tablet. I was told at a different time that the problem occurred when the power supply I provided shorted out the system's power unit. First, that inconsistency reeks of dishonesty. Second, I have been using that power supply every day for over a year and never had a problem with it. When given to Computer Jocks, it "mysteriously" causes a problem that costs me an extra $100.00. How convenient.
They mentioned that they did not charge me for the bent frame. When the bent frame was mentioned, they did not say the bending of the frame would cost extra, only if they had to purchase a new frame which they did not (if they did, believe me I would have been charged for it)
I was told of small services here and there that I was not charged for. The thing that they miss is that when a repair is pre approved for a specific price, no extra charges should incur without, again, the pre approval of the customer. It was as if they asked for pre approval for the repair based on the work they would have to do and then wanted to charge me again for said work. I am not sure they know how pre approved pricing works.
You said that I am trying to trash your reputation but that is also false. Your shady business practices is trashing your reputation just as it did for every REAL review...

I walked into Computer Jocks and encountered Rich the owner. I told him why I was there and he initially told me that he was all booked and he explained why...keep in mind this was late Thursday afternoon going into the evening a little before closing and yes there were signs that were posted advising that the business would be closed starting the next day.
After explaining further details, Rich decided he would squeeze me in and not only last minute but would have my laptop ready for pickup by Friday (the next day). I was super excited, he made it possible to meet my very important deadline. To mention, it was clearly my problem not his however he never once acted that way and did his best by squeezing me in! Not to mention he was going on vacation for the first time in 15 years(Wow) after a year that we've had, a vacation is well deserved!
Rich thank you for squeezing me in at the very very last minute and making it possible to meet my deadline, being very professional, reasonably priced and even giving me guidance and recommendations to keep my laptop safe and functioning properly!

They charge $80 just to diagnose your issue which took five days to quote a super high price. They justified the cost by saying they had to buy "scalped parts" from ebay.
The owner offered to defray the costs by using bondo to fix a part which he explained is used frequently and works well.
The next call I get is saying my screen is cracked. My guess they closed the laptop while the bondo was still wet and when they tried to open the lid it stuck and cracked.
The owner thought he was doing me a favor by offering to split the cost of the cracked screen. When I said I wanted to cancel the service he said he was going to keep my computer! He snarkily pointed out they are NOT responsible for any damage they inflict to your computer while in their care. After some words he sarcastically says "have a nice day" and hangs up on me.
Based on my encounter, they have delinquent deadlines, expensive prices, damages caused by their negligence and the totally disrespectful treatment by the owner I would not recommend this...
