I hate sharing how awesome Laurel lodge is because it is already impossible to book. We were fortunate to meet the families staying at the lodge when we stayed in one of the fire cottages.
The lodge is beautiful. It’s so spacious. There are eight bedrooms with one full sized bed and two twin beds in each one. One room is handicap accessible with an attached handicap accessible bathroom. There’s also a separate bedroom off the kitchen. According to my new friends, this room gets hot when you’re cooking in the commercial kitchen.
Yes. There is an awesome commercial kitchen with high end freezer, refrigerator and two gas stoves/ovens. The gas stove even has a flat top cooking surface and Double ovens.
The great room is hard to describe because of just how amazing it is. There are several leather couches and many leather arm chairs. There’s a massive wood burning fireplace and a big screen tv.
The great room also houses the tables for food service. So many tables.
There’s a separate tv room that our new friends were using as a tv room for the kids.
Four bathrooms with showers for men and women. All linens are furnished by the park.
The lodge was perfectly clean.
Another bonus is that the lodge sits close to the restaurant. The food at the restaurant is absolutely amazing. Our new friends had the restaurant cater one late meal for their 28 guests.
Another great feature is the outside fire rings. It’s huge. The fire ring is surrounded by 5 swinging porch swings. So cool.
Internet is not available unless you walk to the restaurant which is why it’s another plus to stay at Laurel lodge.
Everyone at lake hope is so friendly. We love it and feel so privileged to have connected with such amazing new friends staying at...
Read moreMy family and I have been coming to Laurel Lodge at Lake Hope State park for my entire life (right now 26 years). It's the only thing I actually look forward to every single year without fail. This place has hiking trails, quaint cabins, a wonderful restaurant, and of course the lake itself. The Lake has areas for swimming, boating, kayaking, or just chillin'. If you don't like swimming, try zip lining through the Hocking Hills. You can literally go any time of the year, but do yourself a favor and go in the Fall when the leaves are changing colors. Fire pits are at every location (just bring firewood). Come out and relax by fire for a...
Read moreWe eat here occasionally for lunch, but this time came for their Sunday brunch, 10am-2pm. The food was freshly made, and delicious. The staff all worked together to make sure fresh food was always readily available on the buffet. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. After we left brunch we chose to walk a few of the many trails around the lodge. I would give...
