Why isn't 0 stars an option. I booked through priceline, and that's a whole other story. I paid through priceline in advance. I drive almost 4 hours, and "Anath" at Oyo says he's canceled my reservation, but he'll get me room for CASH only. (Double the price at that). He says that I've been refunded. I call priceline, and it's all lies. No cancelation, no refund. I've got a notice I was checked in - but never was. Priceline is issuing the refund. Sorry, I'm all over the place - I just got somewhere to stay after hours of this situation. And my 11 year old is with me through it all. Anyways, Anath said he wasn't going to give us a room without cash. He lied about cancelation and refund. He said my reservation was irrelevant and insisted on cash. He showed me a random text on his phone that said "process refund" & an affirmative. No name, no number, no email, no reservation ID, nothing - and expected me to believe it. Like I'm an idiot. I mentioned this, and he smirked. Due to the eclipse, no rooms are open - effectively stranding my daughter and I. Priceline was unable to help with that problem. My son called Super 8 in Whiteville, and he opened a room for us due to the situation - he's getting 5 stars in a moment. I might come back and lay this out more coherently once I'm calmer. The point I want to get across (and I read a similar review I unfortunately ignored) this man at Oyo (Anath) looked at a single woman, alone with a little girl, (us) and he LIED about refunding my money, lied about cancelation, refused to honor my prepaid/pre-booked reservation, tried to con me out of cash, tried to double the price, refused to honor the specific room I booked with the garden tub and told me it hasn't been available for months, then laughed and left us stranded because I wouldn't give him a couple hundred dollars in cash PLUS the more than $100 I had pre-paid. Men, don't send your wives or daughters to this man. He's a predator. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a human trafficker and maybe we got lucky...

Needed a place to stay overnite coming back from a long trip from Texas. Reserved 2 rooms online and arrived and staff was friendly. Upon entering rooms, they were clean, recently remodeled we were told. There were gaps in doorframe, not a huge deal, air conditioned worked. Telephone in room for whatever reason must have been decorative as it didn't work. One of the light switches didn't work so you had to unscrew the lightbulb.The one outlet didn't hold anything.The fridge was clean, but the mattresses were stained around the bottoms. We had 3 people in one room And 2 in the other. The other room had a pillow with no pillow case. I questioned how clean the bathroom was by a stain on the toilet but it wouldn't come off when I tried to clean it, there were 2 towels no washcloths for 3 people. The one towel was folded weird like it had been used and was wet. Needless to say we did not use it. I almost fell after getting out of the shower from being sooo slippery and not having anything to set on the floor.My daughter and I both ended up having massive bug bites that appeared the next day within hours of leaving. Overall, we were too tired to address the issues as we were leaving early the next day. The price seemed high with the problems we encountered. This motel has got to be the worst I've ever stayed at. Not only was the room disgusting when we walked in there are exposed nails in the door frame of the bathroom that could injure someone if they weren't paying attention. They clearly just got a local handy man to build anything in this place because everything is half assed. They do provide pillows. 3 for a king. And they are so thin you might as well not even use them. Bugs everywhere. And not to mention there are holes in the wall of the bathroom that go directly into an electrical room. These pictures were taken this morning when I woke up to use the bathroom. All the lights were off and I noticed a light shining from somewhere in the bathtub. Upon further inspection I realized it was coming from a hole in the wall leading directly into an employee only area. If you value your family and yourself do not go to this place. Let it fail. It is disgusting. Go to the comfort inn next door or the days in. When we stayed at the days it at least...
