This hotel seemed really nice at first and I’ve stayed here before on a game weekend, and had no issues. I was traveling to B/CS with my family, and we booked guaranteed connecting rooms. When we arrived, we were allowed to check in and I had my entire family with me, with small children. When we go up to the room, the A/C unit is literally pulled off the wall, hoses are coming out of our room into the hallway, and there’s a bunch of equipment everywhere. There were guys working in a couple of other rooms but my room was wide open with no one in there and the A/C unit off the wall. So my whole family has to go back to the front desk where they say they have no more connecting rooms available and they said that “yeah, a lot of people complain about the construction,” but there definitely was no mention of construction on their website when I booked the hotel. We decided since they had no other rooms available for us that we would go to another hotel. I called the Diamond desk at Hilton and they said they can’t refund me because I’d already checked in, and I explained that the hotel checked me in despite having work done on the rooms and I have to talk to the front desk. The front desk said that since I’d already checked in they can’t refund me but they assured me that once their manager got in the next day that she would refund me. I booked with points so it wasn’t even any money. I never received a refund for the points, and when I called the Diamond desk after the sixth time of being told they can’t help me if the hotel won’t refund me, they told me that the reason the hotel gave for not refunding me is because “in no way was my stay hindered by the A/C repair,” then they tried to sell me a timeshare. So now it’s been about a month later and I have to call back again to try to get my points back for a room I couldn’t use. Very disappointing experience all around. I e stayed in many Hilton brand hotels and never experienced anything like this. And the customer service experience has really gone...
Read moreMy wife and I booked a reservation (July 31st - August 1.) and stayed in (room 420) at the Hilton Garden Inn, our first stay.
When walking off the elevator you first have to step over white towels on the floor and when entering the room you first notice different paint spots on the wall; someone did touch-ups with different paint colors which is awful.
The TV had scratches on the screen and the bed cover had a light pink stain on the top portion of the cover.
When going to the ice machine the carpet must of been wet because when my wife entered the area of the ice machine she slipped and caught herself from falling.
At this point, I was ready to go elsewhere, but the other Hilton we always stay at was booked full.
As we were having breakfast, the eating area became engulfed in a grease-like aroma, and we noticed two individuals getting breakfast while their overalls and hands we covered in grease; Notwithstanding, looking around other individuals also had dirty clothes on.
Never have we had this experience in an eating area or restaurant!
I mentioned this to Cathy at the front desk and her reply was nonchalant because she said that the company eats here. Really, this is allowed at a Hilton!
As we went to get in our car, our Audi Q8, black in color, had one side covered in water spots that had unfortunately dried. As you may well know, dried-on water spots will have to be removed by a car detailer. An expense that I should not have to incur because of the negligence of your facility.
We always try to stay at a "Hilton" when staying in College Station visiting our grandchildren, but let's be clear, I will never stay at the...
Read moreWe have stayed at this hotel a few times back in 2016 never had any issues.
Just stayed here last night & the staff was friendly, the room was very clean BUT they charge you a $7/night parking fee? Why do I have to pay a parking fee when you have no security or valet? What am I paying a fee for? I parked the car myself? Weird.
Also we thought that breakfast was included with the price per night, & it was not. $7/per child and $13/adult.
The big issue was the ac did not work. Would not turn on at all. It was around 9:30 pm when we discovered this. Called the front desk to ask for help and the lady who answered the phone said she was new and wasn’t sure what to do but she would have maintenance come look. So we waited up for maintenance for over an hour no one showed up. We had a 9 year old and 1 year old baby with us so we finally just went to sleep but the room was very hot all night. We would step out in the hall just to cool off. The next morning when we checked out I told the girl what happened and she said “‘next time call” I explained that we had called and no one came. She apologized for the inconvenience. But no refund was offered, or a discount on our next stay, nothing. ALSO sense the room was very hot we drank the 2 bottles of water that were left in the room, we assumed they were complementary. Apparently not. They are $4/bottle. We also used the ice machine so the water would be cold and were charged $1.
For $120+ per night we expected a...
