5 years ago, I found myself driving around in search of wisdom, purpose, direction.... Something to motivate these dry bones and tired muscles. I was extremely overweight and unmoved at the thought of ever being anything more then I already was.... My vehicle drifted into the parking lot of Veterans and the curiosity of what lay on the other side of that tree line seem to call out. So I parked and began an evening stroll.... There, I was reminded of all the lives that had gone before me to protect and secure a future of hope. As I sat in front of the WWII memorial my heart spoke, "this....this right here. If you need purpose to better yourself, do it for them. Do it for the one whose heart was full of dreams yet cut short while sacrificing for freedom, for hope... you owe it to them to strive daily to live your best life." With tears in my eyes, I stood up and made a declaration. To myself and to those who have gone before me. I will strive to live my best life physically, mentally, and spiritually. Understanding and always remembering that it came with a price. I encourage anyone to stop by Veterans and ask yourself as you walk through time and ask yourself, are you living your best life?
