Well my wife and I rent one of the so called large cabins,MMM?M. OK,so if your looking to get away from your normal comfort zone, you may want to ask a few more things than we did . Cabin is small 10 X 20. I didn't measure just a guess. Queen buck beds, very unstable, wouldn't put any body up there. No tv,no internet have to buy a subscription. No hot water,or shower in room. Only toilet. Small counter top with a very small sink, only cold water in this cabin. Coffee maker No coffee or filters, bring your own. Microwave small didn't use. Very small fridge and teacup size freezer, so don't expect to freeze your catch from the days fishing adventure. Oh and No, fish cleaning house or any kind of tables for that, have to bring them back to your cabin and clean them 🤔. No place to cook either, no grill or gas stove top, just a fire pit ring no grates. So to shower or clean up have to use public facilities they supply, well they are more like school showers in a gym wide open,No privacy except a old plastic curtain. Only a wooden bench to sit and use for dressing or setting clothes on. People walking in and out. Showers where not very clean. Oh and we had to find someone to unlock the doors to get in. Once open and got set to shower People just started coming and going. Can launch your boat there but have to park your trailer and viechel back at cabin witch was quite a good walk. With my wife being handicap from a foot surgery this didn't work for us,and the dock next to the ramp was not good. So we chose to use the public ramp in Alma is handicap useful and has railings and a sit bench,$5 bucks a day, can live with that. Anyway. A list of things. Bring your own water, the water hose feeding this cabin was slimy green. DONT DRINK IT. USE BOTTELED WATER FOR COFFEE. MAKE A PLAN FOR EATING. We did eat at the bar on property only one time, was ok. We ate at the Alma hotel every day after that for breakfast and dinner,. THEY HAVE THE BEST FOOD AND SERVICE. BROASTED CHICKEN WAS AWSOME, WE HAD 2 TIMES. OK,IM DONE. FOR $130 NIGHTLY I WOULD EXSPECT ALOT MORE. THE CABIN WAS NEET AND CLEAN JUST NOT WHAT WE EXSPECTED. There was AC. This place also runs a house boat rental company [FUN IN THE SUN] witch is very busy and takes up most of there time, and the bar and restaurant are not open certain days.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Great River Lodge while bicycle touring the Northern Tier route. I had the pleasure of meeting Justin and his family, who are such lovely people. The rooms were fantastic and spacious and incredibly comfortable, not to mention exquisitely clean the view and front lawn for campfires and relaxation was also incredible. I highly highly recommend anybody passing through the area to give Great River Lodge a visit.

Great River Lodge (GRL) is a hidden gem if you like beautiful river views (in any season), peace and relaxation! Across the street from the Mississippi and the GRL dock where you can leave your boat, 2 launches near-by. Fire pits, picnic tables and the River Ratz bar/grill next door with awesome pizzas!

6 of us stayed here a couple weeks ago while on a bike trip. We rented a cabin suite and a regular room. Both were newly remodeled with extreme quality! The beds were super comfortable and everything was immaculate! Jason the owner was very accommodating as we arrived outside of when he'd normally be there. Great view of the river and breakfast is available next door. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend this...
