River Ratz Saloon and Lodge — Restaurant in Buffalo City

Sat by kitchen doors and watched an employee scoop fruit out of cans into plastic cups with her bare hands. Our table was told that we could not order breakfast even though the table next to us had just ordered breakfast. When we brought it up, the waitress reluctantly allowed us to order breakfast with an attitude. We waited an hour and 25 minutes for our food to come out and when it did two of the orders were cold not even warm. After an hour we asked if they knew how long it was going to be until the food came out in which the waitress replied I don't know she's working on it and has been since you put your order in so ya their working on it. Not once in 2 hours were we asked if we needed a refill. Staff was unfriendly to put it nicely. In a small town that has many visitors you would think that the staff would at least do the bare minimum, not in this case and not at this...

I don't know what to rate Ratz. I like Thom (the owner). I've always gotten along with him well enough. My breakfast was good when I finally got it. It took almost an hour and a half to get our food and when we did, the waitress didn't ring it in right at all and part of one of our meals was completely missing and never showed up. I had a view of the kitchen this whole time. The cook was the slowest moving cook I'd ever seen in my life! I've been around the food industry most of my life too. So Thom has really put a LOT of work into fixing the place up, it looks great, but man I hope he can get some better...

Quaint little place. Doesn't have enough staff to provide for the people that are there. Waited to be waited on more than 10 minutes. Also had to go up and pay for the bill. The waitress should have bring the bill back when we ask for boxes to take our food home. Actually had to go up to the bar to get our bill. Also experienced...sour cream was spoiled in the packets and when I explained it to the waitress. She only offered me another packet while I already had it on my potato... never offered me a new potato. Probably wouldn't be back here again was...
