Wow! How can I make this short and sweet so I do not lose your attention? We travel and stay at hotels quite frequently and I must say this place was amazing. I always check reviews and before I book I read at least 20+ and weigh rhem out. We originally were going to book for Sheridan at the Hampton, however, in reading their reviews a family had written a not so good review and recommended the Hampton in Buffalo, 30 minutes from Sheridan. I took their advice and booked it. We were treated like royalty. Both rooms were emacculate. The room, bedding, towels and chairs smelled very fresh,( not perfumey like they were covering up something). Breakfast was a common continental breakfast, however, many choices, hot and fresh. The property was pristine and of course the creek was a nice addition. We could actually see fish!! Kids loved that. What I really want to talk about is Shelby the young lady at the front desk. If I could give her a raise I would. So professional, so nice, you could tell she liked her job. Well….Chris has diabetes and had to be hooked up to his dialysis machine and we forgot the cord, we all freaked, it was later in the evening and the town is not real big , we did not know what we were going to do! We proceeded down to the lobby to see if they had any extra cords at all that we could use and low and behold Shelby found one for us. We just prayed on our way up to the room it would fit the dialisis machine, and it did!!! God is good! We could not thank Shelby enough. Who would do that? Most hotels would not look all over and try their best to help. There are good people in the world and Buffalo, Wyoming has some, including the lady that took care of the breakfast and Mary who took my reservation. This hotel needs to be a training center for all the Hampton Inns. What a joy to get your money’s worth and have a caring smile on the other end. I will never forget this property and will forever talk about our experience. Thank you to all, and Shelby dont every give up that wonderful caring personality. God Bless you all. Read moreFor starters, this hotel is in the habit of double charging people for their stay and then telling the guest it’ll be taken care of. Upon arrival I was told I was being charged for incidentals that Hotels.com already charged me for. When I fought it the woman told me it’s their policy and it would be returned upon check out. She asked me to tap my card. I did. And it said approved. She told me it wasn’t and made me tap again. This time she charged me for the room and incidentals. I told her she charged me for the room that I already paid for and showed her I was charged twice. She then got on the phone with the manager who said it would be fixed by check out. I was handed my key and told not to worry about it. At this point, there’s over $400 in charges that went thru as approved on my card that was paid for 6 months ago when I booked the hotel. I went upstairs unloaded and came down a short while later only to hear the same woman who double charged me on the phone with I assume the manager talking about a man that was also double charged. In the morning, when they checked me out my receipt said $167 and the double charge was still pending in my back to which the “manager” said if they need to know it was a mistake have them call us and maybe they will expedite the return to your account. No I apologize. No I understand your frustrations. Basically please leave. So my family and I sat down to grab breakfast before we left. I couldn’t eat because my nerves were shot but while we were sitting there, they were telling another guest that HIS DOUBLE CHARGE would be refunded. He clearly had several rooms and they assured him it wouldn’t be a problem. He was in town for a wedding. This is clearly either a group of people who are completely clueless or a scam they’re running. Either way, I will never stay at this location again and I will fire everyone I know is well aware of the shady and disrespectful employees...
Read moreWe stopped here one night during our venture back to Washington from Missouri. For our double Queen and pullout couch with pet deposit, it was just under $150. A bit steep, but well worth it.
My favorite thing about this location is that it's pet friendly. The down side to that is that there's a $50 pet fee per night. We only stayed one night so it wasn't the end of the world.
When I initially called, I was greeted very warmly. The process of reserving a room was hassle free. When we arrived about 30 minutes later, they were waiting with my room key set to the side so I just had to sign for the room and be on my way.
This location is very beautiful if you like the sight of small sections of woods, especially with snow to top it all off.
The rooms were very spacious. Almost too big for what we needed, but very comfortable. 2 Queen beds, a pullout couch, and so much more room on top of what was in the room. No actual complaints.
We awoke in the morning and we're by no means the first people to breakfast but there was plenty to choose from; smoothies, cereal, muffins, cheesy ham and eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes and waffles. Plenty to go around and the kitchen staff stayed on top of it all.
I cannot speak for all Hampton locations, but it's definitely worth a stay in...
