Alamo Inn — Hotel in Buffalo

We stayed here for a single night during a long drive to Yellowstone. It was a little dark and dingy but clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly when we checked in. It's nothing special, but for the price it was a decent place to stay over during our trip.

I would be rating it 4-stars if it weren't for the fact that when we stayed there were a couple of loud groups and the sound-proofing on the units is minimal. We got woken up at 6am by what sounded like someone knocking very loudly on our door (but it was either a neighbor or upstairs - because soon after we heard the conversation between the knocker and the other resident). The same happened at 6:30am and we heard all of the motorbikes leaving outside our door from then onwards - so all in all, if you want to sleep in a bit, make sure you get rooms further away from the parking lot...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!

I stayed one night, and pre-booked online thru booking.com. Not only did they claim to not have my reservation on hand (which I'm sure they did, I booked 5 hotel stays at the same time and every other had no issues), and thus charged me about 2x as much to get a room on the spot. After my stay, I noticed they inexplicably charged me $70 extra, ON TOP of everything else. I called multiple times to get the charges refunded (since there was no explanation or reason), and they agreed to process a refund, claiming it was a "temporary reservation fee." It has now been over 3 weeks with no refund, and no help from staff.

None of this is to mention that their rooms are sub-par, poor air conditioning, poor cleanliness.

I HIGHLY recommend against staying at this location. What was supposed to be a $85 room ended...

Surprisingly nice! The pet fee was huge and the price jumps much higher if you need a last minute option. Comfortable beds and linens. We had a fridge and microwave in our room (not sure if all rooms do). Room overall seemed very clean and didn’t smell funny (like cleaners, fragrances, smoke or food).

Not a list of pros and cons but things that might be helpful: -Rooms were old but seemed recently remodeled. -sink is outside of the shower/toilet area and has a large counter space and bright lighting. -No fan in the bathroom -Great water pressure! Shower head was low though. -Bathtub and showers were nice! Very clean. -Room started to get light as soon as the sun came up -Across the street from Hardees, pizza, a dollar store and a coffee shop -Breakfast was ok- hot waffles as an option and other standard continental breakfast items, but...
