Our family booked these hotels for a night on our return home from vacation. Upon arriving we noticed a smell, of paint, that burnt our eyes. We were also disappointed to see that the pool was under construction without the construction being noted anywhere online. Susan told us she could not refund our rooms and gave us our room keys. We walked up the stairs to find cords, hoses, paint buckets, various equipment, and a dozen workers directly across the hall. We walked in our rooms to find the A/C off and the rooms at an uncomfortable and unacceptable temperature. Upon calling Susan at the front desk she offered to move us to rooms on the lower level. The paint on the first floor was unbearable and the new rooms put the construction directly over our heads. When we told Susan that none of this was acceptable she told us there was nothing she could do and hung up the phone. We then went to the front desk and Susan said there was nothing she could do for us. She told us goodbye and proceeded to leave the front counter. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with Jim B. Employee #:140117 from the choice hotel 1-800 number he made notes and said the GM could get ahold of us the next day. Jim B. stated that we were not shown checked out. We called Quality Inn and Susan said she was busy with a full lobby and she would get to it when she could. We returned to the hotel to ensure that we got checked out to find an empty lobby. Susan exclaimed that she wasn't dealing with this and again left the front desk. We waited for 30 minutes for Susan to return before calling the police. Officer Christopher Graham arrived and was shown around the hotel. He stated that he would not stay at this hotel and agreed it was unacceptable. Susan refused to give us our receipts still and Officer Graham stated that he had to leave and he would be back but didn't know when. He also stated that he most likely wouldn't remember this encounter and that there would not be a report number. We now have nowhere to stay this evening and are driving through the night. Choice hotels has refused to refund our money. Do not stay here. Customer service is not a priority.

Terrible experience. The only highlight was that there is an excellent restaurant (The Dish Room) right next door. I booked the room through Priceline so I was surprised when I checked my bank account the next day and saw that the hotel charged us without our authorization since we had already paid through Priceline. The room was gross. The carpet in the room was damp and had a weird smell. No breakfast or amenities because the hotel is taking advantage of COVID as an excuse to not offer these services - but they still charge the same rate. After I complained about the double charge the next day, I got no help from the clerk who was working that morning. She also promptly charged us $250 for having a pet in the room - even though I signed a pet agreement and paid a $20 pet fee. She claimed we “destroyed” the room but was not able to provide photos to justify the allegations. (We’re a middle-aged couple who checked into the room at 10pm after driving for 10 hours; we checked out at 7am; so not sure how we even had time to “destroy” the room.) Ridiculous service and definitely not worth the almost $400 we were charged for one nights stay. Note the taped-together lamp shade. Gross hotel.

Made reservations to PAY AT THE PROPERTY when I checked in. I was deducted the morning of so that was false advertisement, I called and all the front desk lady said was it's normal to charge the morning of but I can send the message to the manager🙄 I doubt she passed the message. Also I got home and I think this place has bed bugs bc I have 4 bumps on my arm going straight down lile a line and what looks like a spider bite on my other arm.. our other norm hotel we stay at I don't have a problem w but decided here bc it was a bit cheaper guess that's what I got for changing it up. WON'T b staying here again that's for sure!

First off I was there that weekend for a wedding I was a bridesmaid at, they changed my room from a 2-queen beds to kings without me approving this due to “lack of availability” I didn’t even book the stay through a third party, I BOOKED IT WITH QUALITY INN WEBSITE DIRECTLY. Then CHARGED me extra taxes for the change in room (when I didn’t make the change THEY DID), and when I told them that wasn’t my fault it was theirs, they told me they could do nothing to call Monday. Additionally, I talked with the girl (it was a married couple at the desk) and explained we were staying an extra night, and that if we could stay in the same room, she said “yeah no problem, I’ll explain the situation to my husband” next day, our keys to the room were not working and they were having a hard time letting us “CHECK IN” I told the guy, “your wife told me she would let you know about the room” HE WAS LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO HER WHEN SHE SAID THIS! and it was taking him a long time to resolve the situation I explained to him I was at this wedding and I needed to head over for PICTURES! that if I HAD to be there, or if the situation could be handled by my sister while I would go take photos with the wedding party, told me “no you need to be here, give me a second I’ll be right back” AND LEFT TO PICK UP HIS WIFE! took them about 30 minutes to solve something that should’ve NEVER been an issue, and I missed the photos. I WAS DEVASTATED, that’s something I will never get back, and yet gave us NO ACCOMMODATIONS for the inconveniences, no discounts or refunds of ANY sort. They were very nice, but they didn’t seem to care at all. I doubt y'all will ever read this long paragraph, but truly this was so selfishly solved, and I missed something truly important and still didn’t even I don’t know TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT? awful people,...

The Man at the front desk makes my stay horrible. Absolutely, horrible!!! I tolerate it becauee the facility itself is decent and safer than most options in this small town. I always travel that way for work, I work in Cheyenne Wells and stay in Burlington. Im a travel medical worker. This man, he always messes up my stays, if its not the inconvenience of knocking on my door for some asinine request that could wait its something like what happened yesterday (02/06/2025). I was under the impression that my key would be fixed for 3 days as I alwasy pay for one night at a time, when I went to get it fixed that morning we touched base on my stay. I told him I'd he leaving today and I happened to oversleep a little past 11(checkout) not an outrageous amount over but slightly and he came an opened my door I jumped up and apologized (he should have been doing that) then I quickly grabbed my stuff and left. Since then, he's been attacking my account for 1 extra night stay. I checked out that morning so I'm not sure why he's doing that. I'm not sure why, I'm a single mom and a hard worker and I travel from stated over and to have this man to rob me of my peace of mind is horrible. I won't ever stay here again and I recommend paying cash if you do too, to avoid any issues. If you do check out, make sure you check out because if you don't they will charge you long after you leave! They...
