If I could base my review on food alone I would give this place 5 stars. The food was fantastic. I had a burger with gorgonzola and mushrooms and I would be lying if I said it wasn't the best burger I've had in Colorado. The service on the other hand left much to be desired. There appeared to be a few servers working the day we visited, and they told multiple tables including our own that so many people had just walked in and they were so busy but the joke was on me, I couldn't tell the restaurant was full. As somebody who runs a restaurant it's not wise to make excuses to tables, especially if trying to be a restaurant of caliber like this place is. We were sat by one person, greeted by another, drinks brought to us by another, food order taken by yet another, and then the food was dropped by another person. Our "server" we only saw a few times, once to get our order, once to drop our check and last when I got my card back. Our server was also in charge of an entire section in our vicinity and simply forgot about the table next to us to the point where one of the guests had to get up to ask host for a different server. It appeared that our server was taking the entire patio and half of the restaurant inside, while two other servers were taking smaller sections inside. I don't know if that was the reality but it sure is what it seemed like.

We ordered a side salad with one of our burgers and it didn't show up until we had to flag down the server as he was walking by to try and get it. We mentioned it was missing to the food runner who brought us our meal, but it never showed up.

The decor seemed fitting for the area, but the mishmash of upholstery for the chairs threw me for a loop but didn't degrade my experience.

The menu is simple to understand, and like I said the food is exceptional.

The cocktail book on the other hand was a little strange. It was a photo album with descriptions of the chef's trip around the world, and it was an actual bound book. One of the drinks had a picture of a foot next to it, and it was odd and off putting. I'm sure the drinks are great, hopefully, but we didn't have one.

Overall I could tell that this restaurant wasn't your average off the highway pit stop. I'll be sure to stop by again for food next time we head out to Colorado and hopefully the service will be better next time. Expect five star food here, but don't expect five...

This place is very nice, a little more elegant then I expected for the area. I started with an amber beer, which was good. I ordered the roasted oysters to start, although they were good I would have expected more of the cheese and topping on them for the price. Ok, so although I was a little disappointed about the oysters, for my meal I ordered the seafood ravioli and OMG. It was packed with flavor and meat, everything was cooked great, but the flavor was...amazing. A little bit of spice though so be careful. I've been here about 5 hours, just hanging out, the staff is amazing, very friendly and informative. I just ordered a side Cesar salad and it was delicious, turns out the lettuce is locally grown by an employee here and the dressing is made in house. Edit.. The previous review was made yesterday, Saturday, I am here now on Sunday for brunch and I must say, this is amazing. $25 per person with endless small plates and drinks from their brunch menu. I tried a few different things just to get a feel for the options and I have to say the bang for the buck is explosive. I expected then to skimp on the product for the price like most places do but there was no skimping at this place. I HIGHLY suggest placing reservations if you're coming for brunch as a group, it got very busy very fast. If you have made it this far in my review it's time for the only truly negative thing I have to say, the lady pulling the large ice cubes from the tray and shaping them up, I watched her grabbing other thing and even answering the phone then not washing her hands before touching the ice again. The ice goes into people's drinks and so I found this 1 thing to be wrong. This only happened with this one person in this instance, I have seen everyone else keep up on hand washing, I believe she just had alot going on and it slipped her mind. Again this is the only negative comment I have in the weekend...

What a wonderful restaurant right off I-70 in Burlington! The food here is all prepared fresh while you're waiting, and it is so worth the wait! I had the Seafood Bake, not realizing it was a pasta dish, but I was so surprised at the REAL seafood in it! Not just pieces, but huge shrimp, lobster claws and sea scallops! And lots of cheese! My friend and I tried the Serrano pepper appetizer with bacon and cheese with a sauce on top. Awesome taste. For dinner my friend had a steak with soy and adobo sauce, with seasonal veggies. We tried their local drinks, which I recommend. So inventive! Then we went with old faves: Moscow Mules. We ordered dessert too; why not go the whole way while at an awesome restaurant? I had their bread pudding, and my friend had the cookie. The food here is so good, the service great, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I spoke with the server and other locals, and they cannot get enough of this restaurant. The owner has a stellar reputation and is known for being extremely gracious and knowledgeable. I highly recommend stopping in to visit the Dish Room in Burlington CO for a different, tasty experience! 3/2022: I'm making plans to drive to Burlington Co and meet friends at The Dish Room. I'll be driving 4 1/2 hours. The food is worth the drive. I hope the food still has the same quality and taste. I can't wait to experience the wonderful food again! I'll stay the night and then explore Burlington before heading back to my...

From the very second you walk up it was very welcoming. The outside seating area was very nice with outside tables and a long fire pit with lounge seating. The inside was just as nice with bench seating and tables that where spread out enough to feel very comfortable and not crowded. The waitress Bridgette was very helpful and respectful. She knew the menu well and helped with all my questions and even had some delicious suggestions with the appetizers and my meal. The wings i got for an appetizer where amazing. I had them fired with no sauce and had the suaces put on the side so i could try a few. The traditional buffalo sauce was good but a little to vinegary for my taste. The other sauce I had was very good with a hint of teriyaki and soy sauce. For the main, I got the ribeye with a baked potato and the sweetcorn tamale. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and the flavor was amazing with a buttery garlic flavor. The loaded baked potato had plenty of cheese and bacon and toppings on it. It was severed with a side of butter and sourcream. The sweet corn tamale was interesting in the manner that its not served as a traditional tamale but more the filling of one, but no complaints from me as it was delicious. My overall experience here was definitely a 10 on all levels with atmosphere, service, food , and price and would definitely recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **An Absolute Gem in Burlington!** If you’re ever in Burlington, CO, do yourself a favor and stop by The Dish Room at 218 S Lincoln St. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warmest, kindest manager, Carlos, who truly makes you feel like family. His hospitality alone is reason to visit, but the food will blow you away. Let’s start with the **Cluck Norris**—this chicken sandwich is nothing short of legendary. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, it’s a game-changer. And don’t even get me started on the **chicken fried steak with gravy**. It’s comfort food done right, with perfectly seasoned, tender steak smothered in rich, creamy gravy that just melts in your mouth. Both dishes are hearty, satisfying, and full of flavor. Their **cocktails**? Equally impressive! Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something with a creative twist, they’ve got it. The drinks perfectly complement the menu and add that extra bit of indulgence to your meal. Overall, The Dish Room is a must-visit if you’re in the area. With Carlos leading the way in service and a menu that delivers on every level, it’s easily one of the best dining experiences around. Highly recommend!
