This place is a gated parking lot with porta-potties. No attendant on duty. I stopped a to take a break and have a lunch. Didn't pay because I though the place was closed for the winter. Two forest service rent-a-cops showed up with guns a few hours later and told me to leave. They didn't ask me to pay the fee, or pay the fine for not paying the fee, just told me to leave "before others get an idea that it is okay to stop here". Fine with me because I was already packing to leave anyway, but the fat forest service chick with a gun must have really got her rocks off by...

I came here as part of a Boy Scout outing and I must say it was quite nice. There was plenty of room for several tents and a picnic area complete with tables and a water faucet. You do have to keep an eye out for the local wildlife as we found a nice sized rattlesnake eating rats by the tables but the rangers were able to come by to chase it off. My one complaint is that the showers didn't have hot water but at least they were free of charge. The beach is just one mad dash across the PCH just mind the traffic. I would for sure come back...

Great group campground. There is ample parking for your group. There are flushing toilets, sinks, and showers. You can hear the waves from the two camp elevations; and can see the ocean. There was hot water when we were there in October 2023. There are a lot of mosquitos, but you are in the woods. One negative is that there is no cell service fro Verizon, T-mobile. There may be one bar for At&t at the...
