Traffic nearby, and there was something in the bed made me SO SICK, that I barely made it home. Went to bed at 2300 (11pm)and woke up vomiting in bed at 0230. Spent next 3 hours puking. Noticed a chemical taste in my mouth and my sinuses were running with a tinge of blood. Tried to sleep in the bathroom, but to my dismay, I couldn't. I grabbed my coat and went outside and walked to my friends house and slept in front of his garage door. Woke up cold, so went back to motel, packed up my stuff and headed to the front desk. Talked to the manager about the smell/taste and she said that she would have someone go "sniff" and see if something was wrong with the bed, or room. I argued the fact that a residue test would probably have to be done instead, and that I would call the Health Department. She raised her voice So loud that all the people in the lobby and breakfast area could hear and said, and I quote, "Why are you attacking me?!?", to which I replied, I'm not, I'm just telling you that it is dangerous, whatever it is, and a professional would have to test, because it would be dangerous to sniff it". She told me, that after someone checked it, they would reimburse my money. I said that I wanted it now, because I believed that someone was just going to do a 'sniff job' of investigating. After she said a few things to me, she told me that she would reimburse me now. As I talked to my friends, who are locals, and they told me that there were several prostitution raids at this motel. It was, and is still known as "The Craigslist Motel or the Ho-tel. He also told me that they were spraying the mattresses outside in the parking lot, not that long ago. I hope no one else suffers this demise. I have a residual headache and have no real appetite. If I feel like this tomorrow, I will go to my doctor's office and get treated. I will NEVER come back there again. Oh, by the way, I felt discriminated against because I am a six foot , four inch tall two hundred fifty pound, nice biker, that was looking for a place to lay my head for the night, after doing volunteer work with a few BROTHERS. I was unable to fulfill my obligations of more volunteering the next day due to my nausea, headache and dizziness. I made it home safely, thank God. Stay safe and...
Read moreArrived here at 7pm on a friday night with three reservations for my family and I. We had just finished driving from Seattle (over 16 hours) and were exhausted. We walked in to check into 2 of the double queen rooms. The front desk agent April asked if we’d prefer to have a room with one king bed and a rollaway bed.. We declined as there were 7 of us and it was in no way ideal. She then texted her manager while we were checking in; and received a call back on her PERSONAL CELL PHONE from her front desk manager telling her not to check us in because they only hold reservations until 6pm if guests CC is declining. April then told us (once again, as we were already checking in) that she had to cancel our reservation and we would have to go elsewhere. Keep in mind this all happened as we were standing at the desk already in the process of checking into the rooms. We then said okay, well since the rooms were just canceled id like to rebook them. She said “oh sorry, we’re all sold out for the weekend”. My fiance and i explained multiple times that if she just canceled our 3 rooms- 3 rooms would have instantly became available. She didn't understand and continuously told me they were sold out for the weekend. Which makes no sense since three rooms had just became available. I asked to speak with a manager or GM and she refused. I asked for assistance finding another hotel in the area (As friday night in San Francisco most were sold out) and she was of NO HELP at all. I have never been treated so poorly. Asked when i could call back to speak to a General or Area Manager and she had no clue when he’d be in next as “his schedule isn’t consistent.” I do not appreciate being lied to when you guys’ obviously overbooked your own hotel and aren't offering any sort of relocation assistance to the guests you've screwed over. Beyond poor management, untrained staff when it comes to handling issues. Save yourself the hassle and stay literally anywhere else but here. I am a choice employee and there are so many other ways to handle a situation like this. If I were the GM/owner or this hotel i would honestly look into further training for Gina...
Read moreThe room furnishings are nice and comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was the weakest of any Choice Hotel property that I've stayed at and I have had elite status for several years. Several reviewers have commented that their impression of the breakfast is good. These reviewers probably don't stay in many Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brand hotels. An expectation of the Comfort Inn brand is eggs and meat at breakfast. This hotel serves neither eggs nor meat despite it being listed on their website (and the generic comfortinn.com site, as well). I complained the first day and all the front desk staff (both morning and evening) stated was "we don't serve eggs." I told them that the website says you do and asked them to check the website - both refused my request. I went over to the printer and printed the page, circled eggs and gave it to them. I called Choice Hotels and verified that a common expectation of the Comfort Inn brand was to served eggs and meat at breakfast. The next day I informed the front desk of my call and was informed that Choice Hotels customer service was incorrect about serving eggs and meat. I tried to speak with the manager on day one and two. He was not in by 7:30am and had left for the day by 5:30pm - I was attending a work conference during the days. On the third day, I finally heard from the manager that the hotel has a "contractual waiver" that they don't need to serve eggs and meat. I would have left after the first day, but I was on a prepaid rate and would have forfeited the remaining four days I had already paid for. It is my opinion that this hotel is damaging the Comfort Inn brand name because loyal elite members like myself have come to expect eggs and meat at breakfast from a Comfort Inn. By the way, it's been a few weeks since my stay and your website still indicates that you serve...
