Alright, I don't typically leave reviews. But after my most recent stay, I believe this property deserves a review. I never assume that when I get to a location , my room is going to be ready. No problem, I'm usually an hour or 2 early for check-in. No problem, I have work I can do while I wait. Typically every location I stop at they either find me the same room that is available to check me In right then or with in 20, 30 minutes, but I always tell them no rush no worries I have stuff to do while I wait. However, this particular location has never done this, but this time, I waited 2+ hours for my room. Okay, no big deal. I was over 2 hours early this time. Get to my room, nothing noticeably wrong with my room. But when I pull the blankets hours later just before I decide to crash for the night I notice what looked to be baby poop on the comforter of the blanket under the little cover they tuck the blankets in. I'm glad I pulled the blankets. I just wish I would have done it when I first got to the room like i normally do. I'm glad I got a 2 queen room as I always do.
Then we have the air conditioner. I typically get a top floor room, but being it's hot and I know that this location has terrible ac/thermostat set up. The thermostats supposedly tells you room temp but never changes, and the ac will continually run. The room felt cool but never shut off the ac. I woke up in the middle of the night freezing with room set to 71. Also, I don't believe they clean these units either. Musty smells come from them when only the fan runs. Then, to top it off, I travel for work. I am a diamond member not saying I'm special however, I went to submit all my receipts and for some reason this time I looked at this locations bill and I was charged for a breakfast which should have been part of my standard room charge like every other garden inn or hilton property. So I looked further into my receipts from this location, and they have charged me different amounts for breakfast with every stay I have with this location. No other hilton property has done this. Every other location breakfast fee is incorporated with the standard rate. I never add breakfast, and typically, if it's cheaper for a no breakfast room, that's what I choose because I never eat breakfast at these hotels. If I could give zero stars, I would. I can say I will never stay at this...
Read moreI always choose Hilton hotels for my travels, but I will not choose this one again. Upon arriving I saw a note the lobby was under renovation, no big deal though, it happens. Parking was a breeze and we were met kindly at the front desk. We got checked in and headed up to our room. Although under construction, the hotel appeared well kept and clean.
When we opened the door to the room it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was past 10pm at night and my fiancé and I were ready to get some rest, but the thermostat read 84 degrees. We like a cold home and immediately cranked the thermostat to 60 to cool it down. We flipped on the TV to wait for the room to cool. An hour later it was time to try and sleep.
Yikes, the bed was rock hard and the worst part was the pillows. They went completely flat like nothing was even there as soon as you put anything on them.
Finally at about 2:30am after not sleeping a wink and sweating in the sauna my mouth was dry and I went to the hallway for a vending machine to get a drink. While our greeting was kind, we hadn’t received our complimentary waters for being honors members. Come to find out, there wasn’t a single vending machine in the hotel, no shop to buy drinks downstairs to be found either.
I went to the front desk and waited. 5 minutes passed with no one appearing to help, so I looked up the phone number to the hotel on my phone. The front desk phone rang and I was finally greeted. When asking about getting a drink I was told all the machines were removed. The gal was friendly and was able to get me the water we didn’t get at check in. I also snagged another pillow. She was kind and happy to help.
Back to the room, even 3 pillows were still flat and I maybe slept 2 hours off and on.
When going to shower, we found the faucet was not working. After quite a bit of prodding we were able to get it to turn on and adjust temp, but it was definitely broken.
The next morning before leaving the temp (still set at 60 degrees) in the room was still 78 degrees. Keep in mind it was nearly sweatshirt weather outside.
While the room was clean and mostly well upkept besides the shower, I would choose a much cheaper hotel to sleep on a concrete bed with flat pillows in...
Read moreI will start off by saying we originally really liked this venue for our wedding reception. Aside from the price it was exactly what we were looking for. So we booked it, and were assured it was all ours. So we started planning other arrangements accordingly. Flash forward a week in a large crowd of people my fiancé gets a call and immediately bursts into tears. Turns out they double booked that date and gave it to the other couple. So thatrset forth multiple weeks of trying to find another date that works for our church a venue etc. Eventually leading to us having to move the date and venue of the wedding and losing 2 separate deposits. They offer us a night stay in a suite and dinner to make up for the mistake. We figured we would go have a romantic night this winter and get out of the house for a little bit. Fast forward to the day we scheduled that, we show up and check in, present the paper work we were emailed for the suite and dinner. We get up to our room and it's just a small 1 bed room, smaller than what we would stay in on a routine weekend trip. Additionally this room was surrounded by children on all sides running up and down the halls screaming all evening. (So much for that romantic getaway) So we go down to the desk and wait for someone to show up. She call''s the event coordinator who set this all up for us and ask's what she should do. After asking if we had noticed it wasn't a suite, (which was already booked) the event coordinator said to give us a free breakfast and she would contact us on Tuesday when she was back to work. Well here it is Saturday and still nothing. Not a sorry, an oops, nothing. Very disappointed in a place that appeared very nice at first glance. (Several broken/ ruined things in the room as we started to look around) But that being said we are very happy we didn't have our reception here, the last thing we want is these kind of mistakes on the biggest day of our lives. We will encourage everyone we know getting engaged recently to avoid the Hilton garden inn at...
