We sent our one year old Doberman, Sarge, To Aloha for their 4 week board and train program. To say we are satisfied with the progress he made while there is an understatement. Aloha’s trainer Sarah was absolutely amazing to work with. She gave us very clear expectations and always kept us updated.
My husband and I were debating with going through with the program and making the investment for our boy and we are so glad we did. When we picked up Sarge at the end of his fourth week we basically brought home a new dog. Aloha took the time to reassure us and explain their training process. I was worried at first after hearing some unfortunate stories about local trainers in the area. After meeting Sarah she left us feeling at ease and that we were leaving our boy Sarge in good hands. We are extremely grateful for Sarah’s hard work and patience in helping Sarge.
The biggest areas of concern we were hoping to work on were basic manners, jumping, recall, and chewing. We were extremely happy that Sarge came back with a lot of improvement with all of these areas. One of the most helpful resources Sarah did for us was send us home with a google doc that clearly outlines exercises to work on with him in the areas she felt like he was lacking in. This document had links, videos, and detailed explanations about how to further work on the areas needing improvement. It was extremely helpful to be sent home with learning materials. I feel like Aloha really set us up for success after his board and train program was over. I would highly recommend Sarah at Aloha to all pet owners who are considering...
Read moreI like all the services they offer one of my dogs loves the dog play times, staff is nice but the groomers at this place are bad. They have no idea how to groom a keeshond. First time I let my keeshond get groomed, they shaved his entire stomach when i asked for a small private area trim. Trim not shave bald, his hair has cut lines looking like a stair case, it looked horrible. His leg hairs cut up the leg, anyone who knows a keeshond you have to angle cut their hair going out not cutting it right down the leg.The other month I had my dogs boarded when I needed to travel so to give them attention I used the extras they have paid for him to get small time of just being brushed for attention. The groomer joy sent us a text message saying my keeshond needed to be shaved. I can brush him just fine. I took him to another place they washed & brushed him without any issues in short time, fast tracks told me there is no reason to shave him, his coat is not bad enough for it .He has no knots or mats. The grooming service that is offered here is the only service I will never use until they get a groomer that knows how to groom a keeshond. Everything is 5 stars but the...
Read moreHaving a high-energy dog is definitely a challenge. Our dog, Rizzo, is a Border Collie-Australian Shepherd mix who recently turned a year old. While he loves everyone and other dogs, we were looking for help to channel his energies.
It was like a miracle when Aloha Pet Resort and Spa opened. After touring at the open house and talking with a trainer that we had previously worked with, we decided to take Rizzo for an evaluation. We were not surprised by anything that they found he needed work on and were excited when they encouraged us to start Fitness Club. He is so happy and absolutely loves spending two days a week there. What a difference at home! He is worn out after a day of interacting with people and dogs and goes right to sleep after eating. Even the next day, he is so much calmer. One day he had a bath there to help with matted and thick hair which made a big difference in his appearance.
We couldn't ask for better people to entrusted Rizzo to each day. Everyone is so caring and willing to answer all of our questions. We also can't thank Heather and the staff enough for improving our lives and that of Rizzo's. ...
