I flew into Santa Fe where I rented a car and drove two and a half hours to the Lodge. Upon arriving I met the guides and was served dinner in their spacious dinneroom seperated from the lounge by an enormous fireplace The lodge was gorgeous with accomodations for abt 20 people. ||||We were there at the beginning of the turkey season with several other groups of people there. Each day we rose at 4:00 A.M. for breakfast before venturing out the game parks; each was ten square miles. The guides build a blind and enticed the turkey using calls. In addition to the turkey, we saw numerous buffalo, heards of elk, and bear. The guides were extremely knowledgable about the park and each one a skilled turkey hunter. The accomodations and food were 5 star. We were there for turkey but I can't wait to return in the Fall for the elk hunt. ||||I do wish they had servered game one night for dinner.||||All in all, it was well worth traveling from the east cost and I would recommend it to anyone looking to...

Then come back, shower up, have a scotch and a steak dinner in an amazingly beautiful...
