Not Creekside Inn—but Creek Inside! Warning. I believe there are many fake 5-star reviews that have inflated the rankings of this place. A “sweet and quaint Inn,” as one review states, this is not! Read the 1-star reviews. This is a cheap 1-star at best motel. Check-in is in the cramped “breakfast” room (but I wouldn’t eat anything here). Our room was musty when we walked in. The reason became obvious in the morning, wait for it. But let’s start with night. When we arrived it was too late and we were too tired to find a room elsewhere, call an uber, and leave, after having checked in. Our room was at the end of the motel, furthest from the front desk area, up against the swampy creek. It felt very isolated out there and on the ground floor. Who knew if it would be gators or someone else coming to get us-felt like the southern version of the Bates Motel. So we took the ironing board off the wall where it was hanging and leaned it up against the door so if someone were to break in, the clattering noise would awaken us. We need not have done so, because sleep eluded us in any event. First, the paper thin walls allowed us to clearly hear the TV in the adjacent room. When finally the neighboring guests turned off their TV, the thunder storm began and it sounded like it was raining inside the room. When the wee hours of morning came and brought sufficient light through the not fully able to close blind slats, we found in fact, it had rained-inside our room. Complete with water covering the floor and soaking the rug under the bed. I assess the likelihood that this place will remove the bed and the rug underneath it to be zero. And the water must have shorted out the plugs, because they stopped working at some point in the night, and we discovered our phones were only half charged. The bathroom was so disgusting we didn’t want to use the shower. Mold and rust around the tub edges. Possible mouse droppings on the desk. Crumbs and debris on the unswept floor. We kept our shoes on to avoid touching it. Unfortunately, our shoes ended up in the standing water on the floor in the morning. But on a positive note the water may just wash away the crumbs and debris. In the morning when a hotel worker came in at our request to assess the standing water in the middle of the room, although he insisted it had never happened previously, he went straight to the area behind the bedside tables where we believed the water had entered. When I pointed out that a bedside table was peeling at the legs and clearly had been wet previously, he didn’t reply. As with all the other one-star reviews, my guess is, the “management” will write 10 five-star reviews to try and move this one down the page Then they will write a response to this review, expressing their apology for not meeting our expectations, and assuring us they will make a better effort to clean, repair whatever defect allowed water to get in and flood the floor, and invite us to return on a future visit. Please don’t bother. We will not return. To anyone reading this-please, save yourselves, save your marriages, read the one-star reviews first, and stay elsewhere!

I will absolutely be returning!! I booked about a month in advance by calling the hotel. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and in person was very nice and professional. It’s right on the water and very close to downtown. It has a dock in the back which I used to launch my kayak. Water is very calm and serene. It’s also a landmark! The popular Netflix show Outer Banks was filmed here so I specially requested the room they filmed in (it’s also Pogue themed), and it lived up to my expectations. It was quite possibly the cleanest hotel room I’ve stayed in. No bugs, stains, trash, or odd smells. I am traveling so just passing through and stayed for one night, so I didn’t use the pool, and didn’t have time for breakfast (I was on the water all morning), but the pool was being cleaned and was just about spotless as I was leaving. I don’t often pass through Charleston since I’m from New Jersey, but any time I’m in SC this is the place I’ll be staying! It was also very cheap compared to similar places in the area. They have a smart TV and it’s very quiet. No weirdos screaming outside your door, and the view is beautiful. It’s also pet friendly!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The rooms were nothing short of magnificent. Immaculately cleaned and beautifully designed, they exuded a sense of luxury and comfort. The attention to detail was evident in every corner. Another aspect that impressed me was the ample parking available. It's always a relief to have hassle-free parking, and this hotel provided just that. Additionally, its prime location meant that I was within close proximity to all the attractions Charleston has to offer. Whether it was exploring the historic district or enjoying the vibrant nightlife, everything was conveniently accessible. The staff at this hotel also deserve commendation. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond. Their warm and welcoming demeanor truly added to the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone. With its beautiful water views, pristine rooms, heavenly beds, ample parking, and ideal location, it is a true gem in Charleston. My stay was nothing short of perfection, and I can't wait to return.

From the moment I arrived at the Creekside Inn in Charleston, I knew I was in for an exceptional experience. Nestled in the historic charm of Charleston, the Inn has recently undergone renovations that both honor the rich history of the locale and embrace modern luxury. The transformation is nothing short of spectacular, offering a seamless blend of traditional Southern elegance with contemporary finesse.

The new decor pays homage to Charleston’s coastal heritage with a soothing palette of soft blues, greens, and sandy neutrals, creating an atmosphere that is both relaxing and sophisticated. The rooms boast plush bedding and state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring comfort is at the forefront of your stay. It’s the attention to detail in these renovations that really sets the Creekside Inn apart — from the artful arrangement of local crafts to the custom-designed furniture that echoes Charleston’s architectural beauty.

However, it’s not just the physical transformations that make the Creekside Inn the jewel of Charleston. The staff is what truly elevates the experience. The team's genuine Southern hospitality makes you feel like royalty. Every staff member I encountered greeted me with a smile and an eagerness to assist, whether it was offering insider tips on hidden gems around the city or simply ensuring that my room was a picture of perfection at all times.

The concierge service deserves a special mention. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable. They facilitated tours of Charleston’s historic districts, recommended exquisite dining options, and even arranged for a private car service on a moment's notice.

Furthermore, the amenities offered post-renovation cater to every whim. The Inn now features a beautifully landscaped outdoor area, where you can enjoy the tranquil sounds of the nearby creek while sipping on a cocktail from the on-site bar. It's the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring Charleston’s cobblestone streets and antebellum architecture.

In a city known for its hospitality, the Creekside Inn stands out as a bastion of charm and comfort. It is an establishment that not only promises but delivers an extraordinary experience. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, the Creekside Inn, with its splendid renovations and stellar staff, offers a slice of Southern paradise that you'll be eager to return to time...
