We stayed at this hotel for 15 days while in town for a family member who was in the hospital. It was an emotional trip and we were hoping for a quiet and comfortable place to rest, and in many ways, the hotel provided that. The room was clean and cozy, with a beautiful view that brought some peace during a tough time. Customer service was weird but the young male staff member stood out for his kindness and helpful attitude. However our overall experience was affected by the inconsistent and often cold service. At check-in, the woman at the front desk was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The woman with blue hair also was mean on and off. Sometimes she even worked in the breakfast area and would start cleaning and shutting things down before 10 a.m., making guests feel rushed. It was uncomfortable to eat while tables were being wiped around us and waffle makers were being turned off early. That being said, communication with the staff overall felt disconnected and odd, like we were bothering them just by asking simple questions. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the general vibe among staff was so disengaged and unapproachable. In general the quiet room, and good view, helped make our stay manageable during a difficult visit. With more attention to customer service and hospitality, this hotel has real potential.

Significant other booked this hotel for one night with our toddler. Room was originally booked for "two queen beds" and we we moved to a room due to a booking issue, however both beds were full size. Also, only king bed rooms have courtyard view (not disclosed in thirdparty booking). Bedding was clean and there was a lack of dust, however there were many glaring issues with the room which was located on the 3rd floor. The pool apparently sprung a leak prior to check in and was inoperable during our stay without prior notice. Shower required approximately 5 minutes to adjust temperature, which resulted to a guest unknowingly dodging between scolding hot and polar plunge. HALF of our light fixtures did not work. Pictures of some of the defects/grime are attached. TLDR: PROs: Customer service was AMAZING and the breakfast was better than Hilton hotels - awesome spread! Surface level cleaning was sufficient and expected for this time of year and price. CONs: Room was in need of repair, beds were inaccurate size, pool was inaccessible, and deep clean was long overdue.

Stayed in a pet friendly room for one night while my mom had surgery in Petoskey. Like other reviews reference, I stayed in the room at the very end, by the external door that slams ALL NIGHT. The room seemed fine at first--carpet was grungy, but for $116, I wasn't expecting the Ritz. I put my dog's food bowl down on the carpet for him to eat, which he did. The dog and I left for 3 hours to go back to the hospital and came back to his bowl and the entire area around it COVERED in ants! See the video below. When I told the staff, they literally didn't say anything--no acknowledgement, no "I am so sorry", no "here's a refund", but rather a low mumble of "not again"... spend the extra bucks for the nicer place so you aren't disappointed, grossed out, and regretful of wasting your money.

We stayed here for one night while passing through the town and while it was nice to know that we were able to stop in and instantly be able to get to rooms without any reservation, I feel with some planning there are for sure better options out there.

While the outside of the building was pretty and had excellent parking, the rooms were extremely outdated. They were kept clean, but the utilization of space was horrible. Unless you're here just to sleep and you're visiting family, I would never recommend this place. There's no full-sized bathroom - they're bathroom was literally like, 5 feet long, with the toilet close enough to the shower stall that I could lift my foot while sitting down and rattle the shower door, the door which by the way does not have a handle on the inside, so it is tricky to try and close while inside. There is no sink or counter within the bathroom, so if you're uncomfortable changing out in the bedroom with whomever you're with, please plan ahead for that because changing in this bathroom is horrible, you have no space and you'd have to set everything on the toilet. Also while I'm on the topic of the bathroom I'd like to mention the door to the bathroom was a hide away slide door that had chipping paint and ours had smudges that id perfer not to think about on the inside..

The bedroom as far as space goes is not very great. The bathroom like I said does not have a sink or counter, instead those were put right beside one of the beds, and because of the way that the bathroom is set up, because it's so small, the shower leaves this huge pillar in the corner of the room. So, my roommate kept tripping over my shoes and luggage whenever she rounded the corner to get to toilet or sink areas. Another thing to mention is that they had an external wardrobe. Because there was no built-in closet, that takes up even more room along with the TV stand and a desk that they tried squeezing in there. It's such a tight fit to have two grown adults in this room with 2 beds.

I do have to say that staff was super friendly and very accommodating, and they did have a breakfast spread as well as an indoor pool and hot tub for your personal use. Personally. I didn't really care for the breakfast. I was honestly shocked how watered down the orange juice was, and both me and two other people poured it out after a single taste. For some reason, they had bagels that weren't pre-cut. And also, no cream cheese? I stayed at a comfort Inn the night before, and their breakfast was by far better. But I'm trying not to compare too much because the room price difference between the two was like $50, but still, the comfort Inn I stayed at was in the upper peninsula right near the border to Canada so... Anyway, as far as the breakfast goes, they didn't have fresh scrambled eggs or anything like that. The only options were cereal, an oatmeal that you can make yourself, bagels, and frozen breakfast. Sandwiches that they had wrapped up and warmed for you.

I'd like to piggyback off of the food talk by moving onto dinner options! We stayed here I believe on a Monday, and we were starving after a long day of traveling, so me and my mom went back down to the lobby to look at the flyers they had sitting by the elevator because I had spotted a pizza joint flyer. We were really excited because they had a keto pizza option. But to be sure, we went up to the front desk to ask if they delivered to the hotel. She said yes, but unfortunately they were closed monday, so she pulled out stack of paper that had a breakdown of all the restaurants in the area and like ninety percent of them didn't deliver to the hotel, and if they did, they were closed that day. She was nice enough to tell us that there was a workaround in that something like three restaurants in the area were on the doordash app? They weren't on Ubereats yet, and we didn't wanna bother with downloading a new app, so we just went hungry...

I guess I don't travel enough to understand the lack of courteous staff. This is the 3rd weekend in a row that I have stayed at a hotel. They were in different towns, but they all had the same issue. At all 3, I checked in around 7:00 p.m., so I was the only one at the service desk ( none of them were on the phone either). Not 1 person greeted me or said I will be right with you. They all just let me stand there, and of course, nothing was said until they asked if I had a reservation! By this point, I really wanted to say, "Are you 🤬 if I didn't have a reservation I sure as 🤬wouldn't be politely standing here why you are ignoring me! If you happen to read my 4 star review for Cadillac, I mentioned "rooms that look clean" until you wipe up dripped coffee or shower water off the floor🤢 Cadillac was 🤗💯! This place, however, was 🤢. There was trash in the room trash can, it didn't pass the drip or water mishaps, and there was strange red fuzzy stuff on an all white bed and on the bathroom floor. Which wasn't on the white towels🤔 There was only a packet of coffee that said "1 packet makes 4 cups" in the room for a 1 cup coffee maker??😫 Yes, they had coffee downstairs , but I'm not fit to be downstairs at 6:00 a.m. until I have at least 1 cup of coffee and a shower 😱🤣 I would however, like to mention, just in case someone from "corporate" actually reads this🙄 I can't remember the lady's name (I was too worried about the 3 hour drive in a snow storm) that was taking care of the breakfast area was amazing!! She helped me with the coffee machine because it had a few choices that I couldn't read since I forgot my reading glasses. She even went the extra extra step to warn me about how surprisingly hot the coffee was before I burned my mouth so I could put some cold water in it. Then she was even more kind and wished me a safe drive home that was definitely in the hearing range of the check-in counter. But I guess since they didn't acknowledge me when I arrived or when I put my key card in their "key card basket " literally in front of their faces why would they say something like thank you or have a good day when I...

DO NOT STAY HERE..Stayed there over a year ago for work..stayed for 21 day during which I double charged multiple times and was not informed of the contractor discount till the last couple days..I paid cash cash and they tried charging my debit card also..the last time was on the last day there which drained account and left me barely enough money able to get home..was giving a managers contact info, her name is Margie who never once returned a call or even attempted to contact me to resolve my issues..eventually my money was refunded ,although not soon enough if u ask me, and I thought I was done with them..today, over a year later, they tried to charge me again..when I first contacted them I was told they had been trying to collect stating that I didn't pay for my last couple days..I told the clerk I did pay , I paid in cash and that this same thing happened while I was there and was refunded a bunch of money because of it..she put me on hold and talked with her boss who found I had paid and was refunded and couldn't understand why I was being charged again..once again am told I have to contact Margie..this is still in the process of being resolved but I am very doubtful Margie will ever contact me back..if you do decide to stay keep a close eye on your charges and keep everything having to do with payment, as it's been over a year I didn't keep it and am worried it might screw me since apparently they don't keep vey good records..o and the hot tub did not work the entire time and the dryer only worked the last 1½ week cause Margie wouldn't come empty the change out of it...horrible...
