What an amazing living environment and staff!! My MIL lost everything she had from back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida and we had to unexpectedly relocate her to Charlevoix. I was able to secure a pristine apartment and get it furnished from top to bottom in one week. The entire staff could not have been more understanding and helpful. Such incredibly kind and wonderful folks. Brenda, Leslie, and Claudia are huge assets to this facility!!! Heather from AdvisaCare was immensely helpful too. So many other staff members helped as well, and did so with a smile! We had a whirlwind amount of time to get so much accomplished and everyone could not have made it easier for us. These are folks with HUGE HEARTS. My husband and I feel 100% confident that our family member will receive top notch care and blossom in this environment. American House provided my mother a warm welcome, expert care and multifaceted support at a time when she needed it most. She needed to move somewhat unexpectedly and she was more than a little reluctant. The staff at American House were responsive, understanding, extremely kind and helpful. Honestly, they really saved the day in every way and I can not say enough good things about them. In a few short weeks my mother has made new friends, joined in many activities and is walking far better than when she got there. The building is attractive, very clean and nestled in nature. American House Charlevoix is a wonderful home for my mother. The staff are very friendly and caring and Mom often remarks on how much she likes all of them. They have truly created a family atmosphere. An individualized approach to the needs of each resident is evident. The managers are exceptional in their ability to manage the facility very efficiently while maintaining the family atmosphere. Family members are always welcomed and greeted.
