This was a nasty place. Unfortunately it's the only motel within a 50 mile radius. The beds are old and caved in so you can't sleep comfortably. Bathrooms are small and the doors don't latch. No light bulbs in half the fixtures. Stinks. Over priced. No free breakfast. $78 and they denied us access to our room. We got up and drove around Sunday morning. We had put our stuff in our cars so when we got back we could sit and visit over coffee before going out separate ways. We got back at 9:30 and were told by the maid they had already cleaned our rooms and we could not use them. I said that we hadn't checked out yet. She went to her mom, the manager, and they said I had to come talk to them. They would not let us back in. Don't go here folks. Updated June 1. After contracting OYO they said they would give the owners a seen warning. Lol. But no they did not give me a partial refund for the hotel denying us entry into our room when legally we still had it rented. But to be fair the locals had warned us this was not a good hotel. We were in town for a reunion so a lot of people had told us to go the extra mile to find a reputable hotel. First and last time I will trust the OYO brand and...
Read moreThe hotel was a big building that had partitions added to create rooms. There is a large open space outside the room that is wider than the room. Coffee service was on a table in this open section. The air conditioner stopped partway through the night. My husband had a multimeter with him and he checked and the outlet had quit working. But the other half of the outlet was fine so he moved the plug to that outlet and the air conditioner worked. It was a window unit. The shower was tiny like an rv shower. The place was dingy, but clean. My biggest problem was with the reservation. I called to make reservations so I could check if pets were allowed. I was told there would be a $5 or $10 fee. (The pet fee was actually $25). I said I needed a room for one night. Then he told me that he would also reserve a room for us for the next night. I said I was not staying a second night. But I received two emails and two texts, one with a reservation for each night. The email said that if I didn’t show up, my credit card would be charged. There was a cancel link, but it didn’t work. I was so worried that I froze my credit card. I would not...
Read moreI don't like to give bad reviews for hotels especially those that are not chain operated. Good folks from all over the country run small hotels and their livelihood depends on it. However, I use trip advisor and I trust it, therefore, I owe it to my fellow travelers to review it honestly.||||PROS: Free parking, wi-fi worked great, TV was adequate. Clean refrigerator and microwave in room.||CONS: Too much money for the accommodations (no breakfast), windows hadn't been cleaned inside or out, cracked wall under sink, inadequate vacuuming of room, extension cords and one outlet had tape hanging over it. Hallway dark and dismal. ||UNACCEPTABLE: dead field bugs in hallway and room. Previous occupant's hair and soap in bathroom sink. THEN WE HAD THE SMELL. I literally had to get out of my bed all night to gulp clean fresh air from the small window in the room which we had to pry open. The smell was horrible. I have never, in all my years of travel, been subjected to such a heavy disgusting smell. I spent all night trying to figure out what the hell it was. We fled at the...
