This campground is beautiful! We stayed at this campground for the first time for about 12 days in July, 2022. We ended up staying in 3 different camp sites because we made our reservation last minute and then also extended our stay last minute. The Starlite staff made sure we understood that we would need to change camp sites – we understood and were fine with it and are grateful that they worked to accommodate us. Changing camp sites also allowed us to really get a feel for the different parts of the campground.

Different parts of the campground have different characteristics. The plateau area is more open (fewer trees, less shade), camp sites are closer together, and the view of the valley is just gorgeous. It seemed that some of our neighbors knew each other – the plateau area looks to be a great place to be especially if you are camping with other people (and using multiple camp sites). Everyone can be within sight of each other and hanging out at different spots (i.e., parents / adults hanging out and keeping a close eye on kids).

The camp sites in the wooded areas are also gorgeous. The sites are further apart and have trees and vegetation between spaces. The shade was great for hot July days. In this part of the campground you really feel like you are out in the woods – because you are.

We did not use the bathrooms / showers because we had our own in the RV. We had no trouble getting level in any of the 3 camp sites. The campground offered multiple activities and events, and while we did not attend, we did notice that the events appeared to be popular and were attended by many other campers. The camp store is a great convenience. Staff were very pleasant and a great help any time we had questions or needed anything.

We loved this campground and definitely plan...

What a gem of a place! I found this campground on Google when searching for one in PA and I am so glad I found it! Is it off the beaten path from town? Yes. A bit far from stores and most everything else? Yes. Hilly and windy roads? Yes. Spectacular views, clean and all the amenities you need? YES! 🙌🏻 I booked early and was able to get a Plateau site #133 and it had the most amazing views! Not a large site but 50amp full hookup and fit our 34’ camper and truck. The pavilion is right in front of it but it was never busy while we were there and we had a clear view of the landscape below from our site. I miss it already! Super clean place, well-maintained and the best camp store we’ve ever been in! They have everything and a very friendly staff. They also have volleyball, tennis courts, basketball, a baseball field, a mini golf course (were just completing it and only open on weekends so we didn’t use it) a cool “teen” game room and a huge beautiful pool area, and a smaller kids pool, again with those spectacular views that are to die for! They also have monthly events. Plus a laundry room and bathrooms nearby. Everything was so nice! My one and only complaint 😔 is in regards to their pool hours. It’s only open 11-7pm and 11-4pm on Sunday and we wanted to enjoy it after we returned in the evenings when the town lights below were twinkling but they are very strict with that time! Someone is there at the exact time to close everything down daily. I wish they would reconsider those times and extend them. They are just too short. That is our only complaint with this wonderful campground…. We took many day trips all over the area and did a lot of sightseeing so I hope we can...

We just did an overnight here, but really wish we had stayed longer. Wonderful, clean, spcious campground with a fantastic staff.

We arrived about a half hour after the office closed but were greeted by the staff who were happy to reopen the bathroom at the office for my wife's use (and offer her ice cream too) while I took care of the site. Very friendly staff that made sure to meet all of our needs. The office and store seemed well stocked and had an ajoining game room.

They placed us in a full hookup site which was short but plenty long enough for us, spot on level, and well treed with foiliage between us and other sites. All of the wooded sites were well separated. Hook-ups were placed in the front third of the site, so they may be a stretch for some units. I would not have had enough hose to reach the sewer connection had I wanted to hook up to it. A picnic table and fire pit were provided, which most campers were making use of on this chilly night. All the campers settled down after ten and it became very quiet and dark.

The bath house was clean and well designed, though dated and for the fall could have used some heating. It also contained the laundry and was next to the pool. A second bath house was in the area at the top of the hill, but I did not take a look at it. Besides a nice pool there is basketball and volleyball available, and a very nice, modern playground and pavilion at the top of the hill. The sites at the top of the hill offer and amazing view of the valley below, making this one of the more stunning locations I have camped in. We hope to return and spend a little more time here...

This campground is located a few miles from grocery and other stores. Our gravel site (#50) was level with easy access since it is one of the first sites past the entry gate. We enjoyed being surrounded by dense woods. The back of the site dropped off affording a wonderful view over the tops of the trees below. Some of the roadways through the campground are gravel and other stretches are paved but they are not bike friendly. After walking the various loops we were glad that our site didn’t require us to drive through the twisted, sometimes rutted and hilly roadways to get to an interior site. Although it appeared to be mostly seasonal campers, there were plenty of short term rigs camped at the top of the CG with a scenic view of the town below. There are 2 laundry rooms with smaller machines priced accordingly. The camp store was well stocked and reasonably priced. The staff was cordial and made us feel welcome. Cell service was good (Verizon & T-Mobile).
