Over the past fifteen years, Ashley and I have stayed at various B&B's throughout Hanover, Gettysburg, Hershey, and Lancaster. This weekend, we celebrated our eleven-year wedding anniversary at The Clayhouse Inn, a fairly new B&B located in the quiet, country landscape of Stevens, PA. Upon leaving today, we both agree that this has been our favorite. This cozy inn is super clean and features four rooms with unique styles. We stayed in The Farmhouse room, which featured white and cream colors, rough-sawn wood, and ship-lap...three of my wife's favorite things (you know this if you've been in our house!). In the morning, breakfast was just as good. We chose french toast stuffed with lemon cream and the Clayhouse omelet. Both were delicious. The inn also features a coffee bar that is open throughout the day where Mary, the owner, will make a variety of coffees, lattes, and Italian cream sodas...all of which are complimenrary to guests. The couple that own the inn are two of the nicest people you'll meet and were super accomodating throughout our stay. If you are looking for a place to call home during your next getaway, then visit the Clayhouse Inn. Ashley and I are definitely...
Read moreMy friend and I were looking for a place to stay nearby for the PA Ren Faire. I booked the Bohemian and my friend had the Eclectic. The rooms were both very nice and cozy, only issue really was the shower didn't have good water pressure. Also massive shoutout that the Bohemian room has a diffuser attachment for the provided hairdryer! Small thing but always feels good to have curly hair taken into consideration. We both took advantage of the amenities of breakfast, s'mores board, and dinner one evening to make it a super cozy birthday weekend for my friend. We both really enjoyed all the food! Everything was absolutely lovely and really elevated our weekend tenfold and made it an unforgettable weekend. Hosts were really great and we loved hearing about how they got their start and how they expanded and still are. Definitely a place we'd both love to...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed recently to celebrate our anniversary. Mary and Seth have done an absolutely amazing job making their home into a welcoming B&B focused on quality, intimate time away from the everyday distractions. Their skill sets compliment each other as building and construction meets design and comfort flawlessly. The Rustic room was comfortable, it had a nice view of the Autumn foliage and some wandering deer, and the large dual head shower was luxurious! Mary makes communication effortless through texting- anything you need, including ordering- delicious breakfast and the coffee, tea, and Irish soda, the selections are plentiful. We enjoyed visiting Refreshing Mountain just around the corner for ziplining and would love to return for more adventures while resting our heads for the night at...
