Cleveland VA Fisher House — Hotel in Cleveland

Well, you know we stayed at the Fisher House in Cleveland. The Fisher House is new construction of Two red brick buildings on a gated campus. Rooms are five star with flat screen TVs, private baths and showers. Free WiFi. Free food and laundry machines. The Fisher House has a Library, a formal Dinning room, a fully stocked kitchen and a roomy comfortable Lounge. No drinking or smoking or weapons of any kind allowed on Campus. Security and Staff support is availabe 24/7. The landscaping is superb with select Trees, flower gardens and hanging flower baskets. Between the two buildings is a spacious concrete Patio. At one end of the patio is a white wooden Screened Gazebo. At the other side of the Patio is a narrow concrete pathway leading to a parking lot for Guests. Just passed the parking area, the path leads you to a porch with twin rocking chairs. Adjacent to the porch is the main entrance with double glass paned doors. Inside those doors are plenty of Chandeliers and amenities to help toward a comfortable and meaningful stay. There are at least 40 Fisher House complexes around the country. When I received an unexpected call from the VA Hospital about my father, all I could think about was being by his bedside. This was totally unexpected and out of the normal for him to admitted. I was overly concerned about a safe place to stay since I had no family in Cleveland. I received a call from Fisher House from Mr. Curtis & V.A. Social Worker Brian. They gave me the comfort, care and compassion Fisher House was established on. They provided safe housing, food and every household necessity anyone could need, allowing me to focus on my father's comfort & care. I was able to stay the entire time my father was in V.A. Hospice and through his final transition. It was a Blessing that Fisher House was there in our time of need.

This place needs a hundred stars. This is a wonderful wonderful place for families of veterans who is already dealing with enough but to have that comfort knowing family is okay and not struggling to drive back and forth to visit with loved ones at the veteran hospital or university hospital is absolutely amazing.
