Eagle Point Park Lodge — Hotel in Clinton

This venue has a GORGEOUS view of the river. That's about the only good thing this has that others don't, some of their policies, and especially how strict they are is pretty ridiculous.

That's annoying but I can deal with it. Just make sure you read the policy very thoroughly before picking this location.

What I find completely unacceptable is the fact that they installed hard wood flooring directly on concrete, and if you understand moisture, materials, and construction you'll know that the wood absorbs water from the concrete. It's heavily warped throughout the entire lodge, to the point that if you choose to walk into this building, know that you are walking into a huge trip hazard.

Luckily nobody fell over, but I saw and experienced multiple close calls. (One section of the floor I noticed is about 3 inches lower than 'most' of the rest of the floor, and 5 inches lower than the highest bowed section). Will continue this if I...

This was a wonderful place to have our wedding reception. They had everything we needed to set up tables, chairs, patio, kitchen, including a bridal room we set up for little ones and their mom’s. So a little nursery when moms need a calm down spot for them to nurse or just relax with their toddlers or babies during our big eventful day and evening. Bathrooms were clean and perfect including changing tables. Was big enough for catering company to get around in along with the whole dining room set up and dj with dance floor. The park is nice, but there are a few things that can improve. The lodge can be rented for private parties, which is great, but unfortunately, it closes the only restrooms in the park. We did find one walking path that was actually the shoulder of the road into the park. It is a nice park if you are planning an indoor or outdoor event.
