Spur Landing Real Estate & Lodging — Hotel in Cloudcroft

WE came to do some hiking in Lincoln National Forest and to visit White Sands National Monument near by. The condo we stayed at had everything we needed, And we were a very short walk from the start of Rim Trail so we didn't even have to drive anywhere to do that part of our adventure. Kim in the office was super nice and helpful with restaurant suggestions in town, and even pointed us in the direction of the local brewery/ restaurant about a mile away from the condo, Cloudcroft Brewing Company - It was great also, the stone fire pizza was amazing. But to me the best part of the trip was the people there. On our first day we had a small fender bender at the nearby Walmart and we were afraid that would derail our trip, but nothing could be farther from the truth. On our cab ride back to the condo, the driver stopped at a couple places along the way to let us take some pictures and show us the sites, and Kim with Spur Landing picked us up that evening and gave us a ride while we were on our mile walk to the brewery. The following day she drove us down the mountain to the car rental place to get a new ride. If it wasn't for the wonderful people there in Cloudcroft our trip would have been shot. My Wife and I got to do everything on our list and came back home with some wonderful stories to tell. Nestled on top of a lush and green forested mountain lie this awesome little town called Cloudcroft. We came here in May as part of a trip out together by the VFW. This place is perfect, and have a tremendous amount of love for our nations wounded soldiers. ||||We stayed at these awesome little cabin/town home things, and they were cozy and quaint, they even had a Jacuzzi bathtub, which I didn't know was a thing, but now that I do, my life will never be complete without installing one in my house. ||||The place we stayed out seemed pretty good on the prices, were pretty close to the town square with all the shops and stuff, but I don't think it's walking distance. ||||There is lots of elk and deer wondering around, especially at night, so if you plan to come, make sure your tires and headlights work. ||||We actually needed special attention because one of our guys got stuck staying in a different place, (a fault on our side, not the company) and this place was more than willing to help us with no...

I’ve started at Spur Landing for 4 days in May 2018 and 4 days in May 2019 with my service animal. The owner, Kim has been super friendly and very accommodating for myself and my service animal. She remembered me when I decided to stay at Spur Landing for my second time in May 2019 and was super happy and courteous.||The rooms were very comfortable and although it doesn’t have a/c, it is not needed due to the cool temperatures.
