I have been to the cloudcroft golf course multiple times in the past and it was amazing! Unfortunately, I played today and had the exact opposite experience! The customer service in the pro shop was extremely bad! The employee that I am concerned with is “Rose.”

We had a new golfer with us in our group, employee “Rose” commented “I am very concerned especially in the morning when someone rents clubs from us and how they will be able to play.”

What a way to introduce a new golfer to enjoying a day in the mountains having fun with friends!

During the club rental, employee “Rose” proceeded to just randomly grab a set of clubs not even concerned with asking if the customer was right or left handed…..remember here this is a first time golfer!

“Rose” had to be corrected to by another customer in the pro shop to get the right set of clubs.

“Rose” then proceeded to ring up one of her customers and then had an attitude about the customer not notifying her that they were military and then proceeded to scold them for it, even though the customer doesn't like to use his affiliation as a way to get a discount in life.

Honestly the above is unnecessary!

After hearing the complaints that I had, the employees insisted that the “owners” did not care about making money!

Why was that a needed comment? It shouldn't matter if the owners “care” about making money, they should care about the experience of the customer. And clearly we did not have a good experience today.

The golf corse was gorgeous however the employee’s...

This evening, we went to walk on the golf course. We went about 10 till closing and received permission from a man at the club house but warned us of golfers.we were not asked to pay. Although, he didn't warn us of the very rude employee who screamed at us to leave. She and her drunk friends were the second to last group on the ninth hole. We were letting the last group play through on eight, so we didn't interrupt them, but her horrendous attitude did interrupt them. She screamed at us across the course, but to not cause a scene we left, and we'll never come back. We own property down from the lodge, several family members were married there, we've golfed and stayed there, but not anymore. She could have been much more friendly and professional, as others are in this small community. How bad could she have been for me to never return after having been a customer for over thirty...

We are locals and love playing at this golf course. However, we have recently come to realize that the time management on this course is greatly lacking. We had to purchase 2 T times because we are not great at the game and it would keep other customers from waiting on us too much. Which is perfectly understandable so we obliged. We also let anyone pass who caught up to us so they would not have to wait. Regardless, we were yelled at and belittled by the employees of the lodge golf course for taking too long. If this golf course is not beginner friendly and you need to have a minimum speed to play it should be presented prior to starting the round. We paid $300 worth of T times for 9 rounds of golf to get yelled at, have workers speak badly about us to other customers, and be rushed off the course before...

Wonderful!! Eclectic, stunning and challenging!! ROSE is a boss!! 👏👏👏😊 Her course management skills are amazing! She manages the groups perfectly and does an outstanding job making sure the pace of play is on point. Tammy was also very friendly and helpful in the pro shop. Even the scorecards are cute with little sayings on every hole. We saw tons of wildlife on the course and the views are STUNNING!! The regular players are very friendly and accommodating!! This course is extremely elevated and cartpath only, so you must make sure that you’re able to physically play this course. I’ve played courses all over this country and this is the most unique course I’ve ever played and I’ve played some strange ones. What a joy!🥰🏌️‍♀️🏔️ and the town of Cloudcroft is a must see with lots of shops/taverns etc.

It is green 💚, yellow 💛, orange 🍊, and brown 🤎 (of you come and play at October); it is a golf course you might describe it using the word "elegant" and "graceful". It was built in 1899, Judy Garland and Clarke Gable used to come and stay here. It's a 9-hole course, but you can play at both red and white for 18-hole, but we played 18 + 9, just to experience more the beautiful scenery of this classic golf course. The design was so nice that you access to each hole with in walk distance, though it's up and down hill. You'll encounter reindeers if you play in the afternoon, they just love to hangout here

I love the course. We went at the very end of the season, so it's possible that it's not in the best shape. However, I can't complain. All in all a beautiful day. One other thing as well, and nothing they can do about it but there must have been some MASSIVE elk herds coming through because you could NOT get away from the hooves on the greens as well as the ummm....."milk duds" ALL OVER.
