Beach Place Guesthouses — Hotel in Cocoa Beach

We hosted our eighty-person wedding at Beach Place Guest Houses in Cocoa Beach in April 2018. The venue is an amazing garden right on the beach. It was both romantic and perfect for our family. We are from Minnesota and booked BP cite unseen. We are SO HAPPY. You feel like you’ve stepped into 1940s Cuba – vintage, pristine, and well kept! The place is spectacular and our wedding (and days preceding) were fun, comfortable, and relaxing! BP provided a beautiful setting for our wedding on their deck, and our reception under the tent overlooking the ocean was filled with lights, flowers, and music (vendors listed below). BP provides great service for your entire wedding experience: organization, setup, take down, and everything in between. You have complete discretion to select any vendors you choose – allowing you to customize your event and save money! It was a night (and week) to remember. Every guest loved BP and asked, “how did you find this place?!” It truly is a unique and wonderful venue. Keep in mind it is owned by a couple, so it may take a few days to hear back on certain details while planning. But rest assured, once you arrive, their service is outstanding. Stephanie, Mary Lynn, Gary, Patrick, and the rest of the staff will feel like family once you leave. Our wedding guests rented 16 of the 17 units and everyone loved their stay! BP’s units are amazing and unique, some with beach views, all had lanais, and some had washer/dryers in unit. La Virginia was perfect as the bridal suite. Beach Place has incredible outdoor spaces for you and your guests to enjoy. We just couldn’t believe how perfect the patio and courtyard were to host our family and friends days before the wedding and the big day. Plenty of grills, seating, space for yard games. And the BEACH. Mere steps from your room. BP has beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, and towels for our family. We had a dozen kids ages 2 to 18 and they loved the clean beach, the waves, the toys, the quick access to our rooms, etc. We grilled for dinner most evenings. At night we relaxed around the fire pits. We played and ate and enjoyed every minute. The staff was fantastic and made our wedding day and week unforgettable. People look at our pictures and say it looks like a dream wedding. It really was. Thanks, Beach Place!

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. I'm assuming all these previous, amazing reviews are paid for. Aside from the location this place is a dump. We had a late check in/last minute booking. I was called letting me know that check-in information would be left at the office. Upon arrival, it was dark. There are little to no exterior lights throughout the property. This made finding ANYTHING extremely difficult. I finally found the front office. My check-in information was taped to the front door letting me know they left our unit UNLOCKED and the key was in a dish on the counter. So back to the dark we went finding our place. Upon entry the photos are COMPLETELY MISLEADING. The smell is that of an old, musty ran down place. The units are DISGUSTING. NOT. CLEAN. AT. ALL. We took a look around and tried to decide if we could make it work. There are little to no outlets. The dishwasher had a paper taped to it saying out of order and water dripping stains running down the front. The furniture was probably from a dumpster or found of the side of the road. The beds..... One was so uneven I assumed if we laid on it the entire thing would just collapse. The a/c can't go past 74 degrees or is freezes up. The bathrooms were filthy. Hair noticed in the showers, grime in the corners of the countertops, shower, etc. We tried calling the property manager multiple times with no answer. We ended up walking right back out due to the condition of the property and lack of outlets for medical devices. I left a message for Mary without a response as well. I was contacted the next day by someone else telling me they needed more information for our stay. I informed them that we ended up not staying and the property was left how we found it. They informed us they would not be issuing a refund because our booking was made too late. We found out the hard way but I didn't want someone else making the same mistake we did. My family spends a lot of time on the road traveling the state of Florida. While on this particular visit to see family, We found another hidden gem located on Florida's Space Coast. We stumbled upon Beach Place Guest Houses. We inquired about booking one of there cottages which was not only a terrific value but truly revived that old Florida charm that has been misplaced in some of our beach communities in the last decade, it was clean and unique. Upon arrival we were met by byrbl a a 10 yr old African Grey who couldn't wait to cat call me with a whistle and a HI and Hello. We were greeted by staff who welcomed us to or cottage, and it was everything as promised on there site. But what truly stood out was the amazing staff. I'm a Floridain born and raised here. The amount of hospitality that we recieved, by far sets the bar of what you should be expecteing when you visit Florida. Marilyn and her staff really strive to make every moment memorable it's not often in life that you find a place that will sooth your soul and satisfy your inner child at the same time. The artistic intrigue of the property will satisfy every craving of your inner child, while the peace and quite refreshes your mind and entertains your grown side. I can truly say my inner child wants to scream to the world "hey guys I found the coolest place ever!" and tell all my friends and my adult side is still saying shut up you little brat and keep it for yourself.
