If you're looking for accommodations similar to a Hilton, Comfort Inn, or even a Days Inn, move on. If you're looking for a clean room on a budget and aren't particular if the furnishings are new, you have velvety and plush towels, or even a garden tub, then you've found a good place.||||I stayed here for work and got a king room. The bed's a bit firm, but comfortable. I prefer flatter pillows, so this place was great. The bathroom is on the smallish side with a tile shower, but it's clean. There is DirecTV on a 24" flatscreen. WiFi is very good; fast and never was dropped once. There's a small fridge and coffee maker in the room as well. Now my room was a little drafty by the door but that's not a big deal to me even though it was cold out for most of my stay. Like dogtired2010 said, there are workarounds. ||||I also want to add that the owner is very friendly and accommodating. She even took my laundry to the local cleaners for me since I never got back to the room before closing time. You just don't see people like that very often and it's little things like that which make you remember a place.||||All in all it's a gem that's a little rough around the edges, but is worth it if you can look past any cosmetic hangups you might have. Also, if you don't mind being in a more rural/small town setting, you'll probably like this place. If I'm in the area again for work, this place is the first one I will call. I have even recommended it to a couple of...
Read moreRight when i arrived i parked around the back because i wanted my vehicle away from other people and this is one of the first motels i stayed at. Right when i walked into the office the staff started accusing me of "hiding something". After minutes of arguing try to get a room i finally got my key. When i got into the room it looked okay.... Until i started really examining the room. First, there are cigarette burns and stains in the sheets. The A/C is WAY to high. Im 5'11" and i couldn't read the settings on it but i can just reach it to use it. There is also i think gum on it... Gross. There is a loose wire coming out of the wall and nails all over the place. The heater in the bathroom looks absolutely disgusting. I thought the toilet was going to overflow but it flushed after awhile. Sink is okay and shower looks fine, overall it was clean. THE FRONT DOOR WAS SCARY. There is a blurred window with no cover. Even tho its blurred people can still look in and there is no blind to cover it. The door didn't open at first until my neighbor walked by and told me to push really hard on it. I really don't recommend this place. Please spend an extra $20 for a cleaner,...
Read moremy family and i have used the meldor motel for over 15 years while visiting friends in the boyertown area....in the past, the rooms were not fancy, but always well kept, clean and comfortable...last time we stayed two years ago, they were getting a little run down, but...when we needed to stay again this past wkend, figured we would be okay...its budget host now, should be okay, right??!!? NOT! the room upon check in was filthy....toliet looked like it had not been cleaned after someone had been very sick..... floors were scum dirty...walls ... mirrors, everything was a disgrace...i dont mind the rusty tissue holder..but when it looks like feces and goodness knows what else on walls, pictures and light switches...cigarette burns in the bedspreads and blankets.... if the owners read this, and i did let them know we were very unhappy, please.....dont disgrace a quaint, awesome town like the boyertown area by letting the motel get any worse....get a serious cleaning crew in there....on the positive, so far...
