I’m going to start with the only positive thing I can say about this entire stay, the assignment desk manager, Zach, is a rockstar. His pleasant manner, quick response to our problems, and calm demeanor kept us from going nuclear over the many horrid situations here. |This hotel is NOT ADA compliant. |When I made my reservation through the hotel, they asked if the second floor was ok. What they failed to tell me was that they didn’t have an elevator. You can imagine my surprise when I arrive and asked where the elevator was. The staff was less than helpful. They responded with a smirk saying, “This is an old hotel, they didn’t think of putting one in.” As I advised them of my medical conditions that preclude me from using stairs, without batting an eye, I was told, “I would have to take that up with the third party officials who I booked the two rooms from.” They were shocked to learn I directly booked it from them. |At that point they began looking for a first floor room. |The initial first floor room they put us into was for customers who reserved room with pets. The smell was akin to sleeping in an uncleaned litter box if your cat was a 2 pack a day smoker. My wife requested to sleep in the car. |I gave them one more opportunity. They “shuffled” rooms and moved me into another customer’s room who hadn’t checked in yet. (I don’t want to know how that worked out.). The room was somewhat clean, albeit small with the bathroom so tiny that only one person can fit at a time. Inside the tub were brown stains reminiscent of blood from the movie “Psycho”. The water pressure was adequate but not to the Wyndham quality I expected. All around the tub are stains, dirts and cobwebs. |The bathroom floor was sticky. My wife took water from the sink, splashed it on the floor and mopped the floor, removing the thick grime that was on it. |On the mirror there is a small sticker that reads, “Towels will only be changed once every 3 days to save water.” The towels are thread and after 24 hours are still as wet as the moment you finished drying with them. |Finally, I found out after day two of staying there that you have to REQUEST room service! The reason for this is because the staff is afraid they might disturb the guest. I asked, “Why doesn’t the guest put up a Do No Disturb” sign?” Not all rooms have them.|Really Wyndham? Are times that bad?||Overall this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my 45 years of worldwide traveling. I chose it because of the Wyndham name. I am truly...
Read moreI'll start off by saying the staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is kept clean, but after this everything goes down hill. This hotel was obviously very recently renovated, unfortunately it was very hastily and poorly done. The walls still have holes and wall anchors freshly painted over instead of being repaired first. Our microwave didn't even have an electric plug within reach to use it. The rooms still have the old under window AC/heating units that are rusting, very noisy and falling apart. We actually stayed in two different rooms due to our toilet backing up in the middle of the night. Our move from the first to second floor at 2am was far from easy as the hotel has no elevator so there for no carts. This brings me to the bathrooms. Both bathrooms were so small you could sit on the toilet open and close the door, wash your hands, start a shower all without getting up. It's smaller than 4' sq. The toilets had very small round toilet seats which for a larger man are not comfortable at all. The little spring on the inside of both bathrooms doors were missing there rubber end so we're literally rusty metal tetanus hazards. As were the rusty bolts sticking up an inch or more that secured the toilet to the floor. And trust me in this bathroom foot space is limited. We had a literal hole in the wall between our toilet and tub in our second room. The ceiling height is so low that my head was inch's from it when in the shower and the shower head hit me in the lower chest which made washing my hair a contortionist act. Our first bathroom had a very old drop ceiling in the bathroom and over the tub/shower that had long ago started to rust but then was painted over without any prep or cleaning. There was some sort of growth starting that resembled mold but could have been rust coming through it was hard to tell. I must say that the new vanity, fixtures (except toilet), carpeting, and furniture are nice it's just painfully obvious they took the cheap way out. I hadn't taken any pictures and now wish I had but on our way out I noticed the sign on the front corner of the building and thought, well if that doesn't sum this place up, so I took a picture. This location is perfect for us but I will not be staying there again and other than out of absolute necessity I would not recommend this...
Read moreMy husband and I left home late Friday evening after I got out of work (I work second shift) and arrived at the hotel at 4:30 Saturday morning. Considering Hotel check in is 3 PM and check out is 11 PM, I had booked us a room Friday night as well as Saturday; but was unaware of the policy that check in must occur by a certain time or the customer is considered a no-show. It was upsetting news to discover after driving 6.5 hours and being up almost 24 hours. It was even more upsetting when the woman at the front desk, Pat, was talking down to me about a policy I was unaware of and who continued trying to tell me my issue was with Google, a search engine, instead of the hotel who I had booked directly through online. She was incredibly rude to my husband and myself and started an argument with us when I was just trying to explain our point of view and afraid my husband and I would have to sleep in the car. After she spoke to I assume a manager, things were corrected and we were given a room. Upon entering our room, it smelled strongly of ferrets (which is not so pleasant for those who are familiar with the smell), the texture of the carpet was sticky and matted, there was a thick layer of dust as well as some Bobby pins and silk flowers under the bed, we woke up to a wet bathroom floor because the ceiling leaked and the hotel pool has apparently been out of commission for 2 years now. My husband and I were happy to have a place to sleep, but Days Inn was not worth the price and we will not return. The few positives were the manager who sorted out the room disgruntlement and the woman at the desk during the day...
