Hyatt Regency Conroe is a pleasant reminder of how glorious Hyatt can be when all the details come together. When Hyatt is good, it is really good and Hyatt Regency Conroe is a testament to that.||Hyatt needs to bottle the mojo here and spread it around the enterprise as the stock is underperforming its peers and the reason why is clear. Stale brands and mediocrity have become the norm across the company, not the exception.||Hyatt Regency’s northernmost Houston outpost, located in a quiet suburban setting near the North Freeway, is arguably the best hotel in the area. Parking is free but limited at times, depending on what events are going on in the hotel’s conference center.||No valet, bell service, turndown service, in-room dining, or concierge exist here, so if high touch is your jam, you may want to consider staying closer to town. It should probably be branded Hyatt instead of Hyatt Regency as services offered fall more in line with other Hyatts. Whatever you want to call it, this property punches well above its weight for the price so no complaints here! Great value!||Facilities are stylish and modern. The setting is tranquil. Some thoughtfully designed outdoor seating areas are located behind the building and the hotel also has an inviting pool deck.||All employees were gracious and professional. Expect superior housekeeping!||Globalist get much love here, which is refreshing because I haven’t been feeling the Globalist love from Hyatt lately and have taken a more brand-agnostic approach by booking through AmEx Fine Hotels and Resorts for most trips.||I received a complementary upgrade to a beautiful, spacious king suite which had a 1/2 bath off the living room. The staff also had a much appreciated welcome amenity and personalized note waiting in the suite upon arrival.||This is an outstanding property just minutes north of The Woodlands that is satisfy the most discerning...
Read moreSuch a sweet little thing for a relatively grand hotel. The aesthetic was lovely, and the bar-staff was phenomenal! Miss Tori was the sweetest thing- friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t recall the names of the other gals, but the owner of Mr. Grandpa kitty is well a well-crafted bartender. The other gal, I believe a manager, is also wonderfully hospitable. Dinner crew was also very nice.
Now, the breakfast crew… I have worked in the industry and have a modicum of understanding and compassion. Perhaps they were recovering from a busy morning by the time we arrived at 7:20am, who knows. In any case it should not have taken half an hour, given the whopping four tables and 3-person serving staff they had, for us to put in our our order and then not get it for another 30. Especially given the fact that we both ordered Eggs Benedict with poached eggs! Our eggs arrived cooked hard, and only a single potato (on my plate) had even been seasoned. Thankfully we had told our server that we needed to leave quickly, so our order was redone and boxed to-go without any hassle. However, over an hour and a half later, when we finally sat down again the eggs were cooked harder still! What was the point of redoing the order? I don’t know about you, but Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast! When I order it, and it costs nearly $20, I expect my poached eggs will be cooked correctly- with a soft, runny-ish yolk. To be entirely fair, I thought the hollandaise was exceptional! And, had my potatoes been seasoned and salted, I would rave about them, too. They were well cooked. I was disappointed, to say the least. I’m well aware that I’m a bit snobbish. If you are particular I recommend ordering something requiring less...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We have stayed here twice now and each time we are greeted with friendly staff and a super clean hotel. However, this time was even better than the first time. Before we even arrived Kaiden reached out to me to welcome me back and ask me if there was anything he could do for me during my stay. Because my husband and I are renovating our lake house in the area I asked if we could check-in early so that we could check in before we went to start working on the house. I didn't want to check-in covered in dirt. He was able to accommodate my request which was a relief.|||| On the day we checked in Kaiden greeted me at check-in and was SUPER friendly. When we got to our room it was freshly clean. Also to note, the beds and pillows are very comfortable at this hotel. The next morning we decided to have breakfast at the hotel in their Conroux restaurant. We were greeted by Tini. She was so kind and very friendly. The coffee is strong, just like we like it and the food was delicious!|||| After breakfast we checked out. I hadn't noticed that Kaiden was at the front desk again and ended up getting checked out by another staff member. However, after I checked out Kaiden told me goodbye and I even think he even called me by name. His attention to detail throughout my stay was memorable. I'm not sure if anyone has read the book "Unreasonable Hospitality" by Will Guidara, but it seems like Kaiden has. Not something you would expect in little ol' Conroe, TX, but they definitely left me an impression on me. They are delivering exceptional customer service and I will be telling anyone who is coming to this area to stay at this hotel....
