This review is only based off of my ToGo experience and not AYCE.
The portion sizes are on the smaller side which would be fine for Ayce but not for ToGo orders. They have online ordering which is great but you’re paying an extra $1 per hibachi or teriyaki menu item + a $1 connivence fee at checkout.
Apps: Egg roll- $1.80e- overall a cheap app but tasted like a premade frozen egg roll you’d find anywhere. Likely wouldn’t order again Crab ragoons- $6- 5 pieces. I’m a big crab ragoon fan and these were a let down. Filling was sweet and had just the cream cheese filling and hardly any imitation crab in it then served with a light orange dipping sauce same as the egg roll. Likely would not reorder either.
Sushi: Salmon roll- $5.75e - 6 pieces Sweet potato roll- $5.50 - 6 pieces. Good nothing crazy or special just fried sweet potato tempura. Veggie roll- $5.50- 6 pieces. Asparagus and avocado only. Really would have liked some other veggies like carrots, bell pepper, sweet potato etc. it just felt somewhat generic. Veggies were crisp Monster roll- $14.45- 8 pieces. Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, top w.fried crab stick, in spicy mayo, eel sauce & honey wasabi sauce. Overall a good roll.
Overall- the restaurant has potential if they can lock down the portion sizes better and expand their menu for the sushi options. They have steak and chicken for hibachi yet have no sushi options that have those items. All of the cooked sushi was focused around shrimp tempura or crab and a lot of them contained either a spicy mayo or a spicy crab so if you want a roll without a spicy ingredient you don’t have many options online and you’re unable to add notes to ask for it removed.
I’d come back to try the hibachi/teriyaki in a few months once they’re more established to see if they’ve improved their sushi selection. I think they’re trying to do too much too soon with sushi/hibachi/teriyaki/ and then the shabu shabu with being open less than a month at time of review.
Waiting room seating was very limited and contained two chairs and then a bench with a weird divider and some small pillows to sit on. Not very functional. Parking is a bit tight in this plaza but more parking within walking distance near the...
Read more9 month update: The quality has definitely decreased since they first opened. I went back and now their sushi is stuffed chockfull of rice. Made a larger order since I remember when they first opened they only put a small amount of rice to let the fish shine, but now you can tell they put so much rice to make you full faster. I never understood why AYCE spots would do that. If you don't want to lose profits then just increase your price since people don't come to these places to eat rice... they come to eat fish.
We ended up eating the fish and leaving most of the rice and it was ridiculous how much rice was left. You could fill an entire rice cooker with the rice that was left and it was obvious how impossible it was to consume and I told them to just charge us the extra $10 fee bc it was beyond ridiculous.
Review when they 1st opened: So happy we don't have to drive far anymore to get high quality AYCE sushi and shabu shabu hot pot.
I was trying to ask where they source their fish because the cuts were so soft and buttery that I liked ones that I normally don't like such as yellowtail, tuna, octopus, and mackerel, but I ordered it twice due to how good it was here specifically! Furthermore, they DO NOT put too much rice at all which lets the seafood shine the way it's supposed to be made!
The appetizers and desserts were delicious. The restrooms were clean. The interior design of the restaurant is modern and stunning. Our server Ming was so attentive and even with limited English he was so kind and helpful. Very friendly and always smiling.
Our family will be coming here regularly and taking friends and family here for sushi and shabu shabu cravings!
I highly recommend this AYCE spot to all locals and visitors.

Read moreIt has been a long time since I have had to post a do not eat here post, especially if you bring kids or are immunocompromised.
Their raw sushi, especially the trout, tastes like a fresh beta caught out of the sewers. This place needs the health department to investigate the lack of quality. Yellow fin tuna is clearly not yellow fin by taste and look.
When my sons look at me and look like they are going to vomit because their food also tastes like raw sewage, there is a problem.
We ended up in an argument over my miso because it smelled and tasted of sewage and the manager or owner? Absolutely refused to taste the miso in front of us. The fear in here eyes and behaviour indicated to all of us. My son is also in the food and beverage industry with his own permits on the state level for managing food operations. He took over the conversation and asked her why she wouldn't taste it. Her response was: it is inappropriate for her to do so. This promoted my younger son to call her out as a liar in a nutshell.
Exasperated with us, she took the dish to the back and started helping other guests. With that response we walked up to our waiter gave him our card and said we are done with our "experience" and would like to leave.
Seeing children being put at risk with the restaurant's blatant disregard for food safety is the reason no one from my family to my friends will step foot back into your establishment.
I haven't decided if calling the health department is necessary because they are going to harm themselves at the end of the day with all frozen, sous vide product.
I promise that even someone who has never cooked before can make something more tasty to eat at home for half the cost...
