Me and my daughter were traveling from Arkansas to North Carolina and we went through some terrible storms and decided to stop for the night but did not want to stay in a big city because I couldn't afford it plus we had our dog with us. While we were stopped in traffic for about an hour I was researching hotels about an hour out and came across this one. I called and got us a room. The night shift was absolutely amazing! They were so friendly and accommodating. We absolutely love the room it had a door off the back which was easy access to let our dog go potty, however the little dog across the hall had a very big voice and the night shift upgraded us to a sweet so we could get some good rest for the upcoming days travel. We save this location as a favorite and this will forever be our halfway stop on our travels. We actually liked the regular basic room better than the sweet because of the door to the outside but at that moment sleep was more important. Lol. They have the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in and we have stayed in a lot of hotels all over the country. The rooms were very clean and nice. For being a pet friendly hotel I was shocked that there was absolutely no smell of animals or urine through the halls or in either of the two rooms we were in. they do not provide a hot breakfast because of covid but they still go out of their way and provide sack breakfast which made my 13-year-old very happy because the other three that we have stayed at over the last month did not provide anything and she wakes up hungry. Lol. I have never gone out of my way to give reviews before but this place definitely deserves to be recognized. I always try to book & support the "underdog" of Hotels so to say, and stay away from big fancy expensive chain hotels and I never seem to regret it. I most definitely will be back. They had the best price. The best price and accommodations for pets and by far the best bed I have ever slept in. To the night shift who worked on Thursday March 25th, 2021, thank you thank you thank you for your kindness, professionalism and accommodations above & beyond to me my daughter and sweet 4 legged baby. After a terrible day in the vehicle going through storms and tornadoes this was exactly what we needed. A perfect quaint comfy place to rest our heads and bodies. I will most definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know...
Read moreThe experience was perfect! Everyone was super nice and helpful. The hotel is older and there is no doubt could do with a future update but our room was clean and stocked with towels and soaps/lotions. Housekeeping manager was very helpful and one of the housekeepers was super sweet. There was one housekeeper that didn't want to deal with my towel exchange request because the bath towels I was given in exchange for mine was literally half the size. Instead she called her manager who was super nice and gave me the regular sized bath towels. The bathroom always had hot water, internet did not have a password I felt a little uncomfortable with that as anyone could have access to your info. It was also not the fastest. Seems to have been working faster when the hotel was busy. Beds and sheets were all clean upon arrival. Breakfast was good. The only thing that I think needs to change if it is left this way is fix the electric so someone can make a waffle while someone else toasts a bagel. Especially since it did get busy on the weekend. The other thing I would love to see if sugar free stuff. They did have sugar free syrup, which was great. The waffles were delicious. I love that this hotel allows dogs but really wish that people would learn to clean up after their pets. This is why we cannot have nice things people. If you don't have doggy poop bags please ask for a couple of bags from the staff that they use for the ice bucket or trash cans. Its really not that difficult. I had 2 pets and my service dog with me and managed to pick up after all three. I literally watched pet owners allow their dog to poop in the general area and just walk away. Come on not everyone has pets and the hotel should not have to pick up after your pet. News flash pet stores sell little rolls of bags, even walmart does. If worse comes to worse use a shopping bag. Overall a super nice and friendly hotel. I want to thank the entire staff for making us...
Read more😊: The receptionist when we arrived was good and our room was decent and what you could expect.. 😢: The fire alarm in our room went off just over midnight. We realized it was only the firealarm in our room that went off. We did not create any smoke in the room, we were asleep. We talked to the receptionist shortly after and the service level from him was poor to say at least. Only by us telling him to listen for the sound, he realized it was off. He informed us he had called his manager and that the manager would come. After roughly 15 minutes we talked to the receptionist and we asked for a different room due to the ongoing fire alarm (it went on and off regularly through the whole period). We could get one if we placed a $100 deposit, which we declined, as he questioned why we needed a different room. 30 minutes after, the manager had still not appeared and we asked once again and got the same answer. We were just asking for a room without a fire alarm going off, not an update, so we could get some sleep. After another 10 minutes we asked when the manager would arrive, then the receptionist told us that the manager couldn't see any ongoing fire alarm and that everything seemed fine. We decided to go back to our room and the fire alarm was still going on and off, like a need for battery change or a fault. We decided to check out at around 2am, as the problem didn't get resolved and we wouldn't have been able to stay in a room with an ongoing fire alarm. When we checked out, it was suddenly possible to move us to another room without any deposit. We declined as we had enough. The manager never showed up, we never got informed about the change of situation unless we contacted reception directly. Overall a poor handling of the situation by the receptionist, possibly the manager as well. We will not recommend this place to stay due to poor service, especially taking into account that the reception told us that it was a recurring...
