Fiesta Cancun has some of the worst customer service I have experienced in Cookeville, TN. If you are looking for good food and good service go to El Tapatio!!
They can't do a small request such as a little less meat and beans in place of that meat. Which would have cost the restaurant less money. The server Jose was very condescending and rude. I am a very picky eater yes but with that being said I have never had a request that is possible for a restaurant to do and they wouldn't do it. And it wasn't a difficult request they were just to stuck up to do it.
This is the comment back that the store owner gave on facebook then I will put mine "Hello this is owner from Fiesta Cancun Grill . After reading your review, I spoke with Mr Jose and store manager. You request EXTRA meat, EXTRA bean therefore extra $$ was charged and your visit before you request extra meat and extra bean as well. After two different story , I reviewed camera !!! My employee could have been suspended if i only went by your review." Then I said "I asked for LESS meat and beans in place of the meat. A substitute of a something cheaper for something more expensive. BEANS are extremely cheaper that beef. I usually order only beans so thats why I request LESS MEAT. If your employee would have been suspended for ensuring that a customer got something cheaper but still had to pay the same price for that item you need to re-evaluate the way YOU do things and not put your employees in a situation to upset the customer and make them feel bad as a human for being a picky eater. And if you are going to pull out the cameras make sure you have audio where I said LESS meat and substitue a cheaper item BEANS. If you read correctly you will understand i am willing to pay the price of the beef for beans. But no one wants to pay more for refried beans than beef. The first time i ordered the item in the past I asked for the same thing and was charged and paid the manager told me i didnt request it correctly so this time I tried to make it clear that I did not want the same portion of meat and add beans that I wanted half the portion to be the meat and the other half of the protein portion to be the beans." They had nothing else...

You need to be able to answer questions regarding size, quantity, ingredients, etc. Next, when the menus go down that means your customer is ready to order. Get your booty over there take the order, WRITE it down, then put the order in IMMEDIATELY. Next, do not assume anything about your guests including age. Listen to them when they say that a guest is needing an adult beverage and not the typical styrofoam cup for children. Do not ask “everything ok here?” Ask specific questions: Do we need drink refills, napkins, sauces, etc? However, if you are anticipating the guests needs you will have already refilled the beverages, brought all necessary items to provide a full service meal. Next, halfway through the meal you plant the seed or idea of dessert. You describe something delicious and then drop the check. You then keep an eye open for when they are ready to pay. Never make your guests wait for anything! Anticipating your guests needs will ensure that you get a tip. You are the ambassador of their experience. If you don’t care, they won’t care. Lastly, pick a few things and get REALLY good at them. The menu is all over the place. Too many different types of food and choices that you can’t possibly do them all with excellence. The meat was bland in the chimichanga, the beans were barely adequate, the Spanish rice bland, the general chicken fried rice was odd at best, the chicken fingers and fries were good but were they frozen and from your distributor or your recipe?, the fajitas were serviceable.
There was nothing “special” or unique. It was just like every other Americanized Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. You are going to receive tourists, this is your chance to leave your mark on their experience. Make sure it’s not...
Read moreFirst of all they have gone up on their all their prices drastically. Second we arrived at 8:40 something.. and I ordered my drink and the waiter comes back then says that last call is at 9:00 and it's now 8:50 so I asked for another drink then or to change my initial drink to a larger one, considering they have different sizes. Well he comes back and says can't do that cause I already ordered. I said okay then I would like to change my order from a small drink to a medium drink, they said oh no you can't do it that either... I say ok we'll go somewhere else he said ok I'll get your bill ???for what? A drink I'm not gonna have. I was a bar manager I know that it's bs if it's not last call yet why can't I order what I want? My family and I have been coming in to fiesta Cancun since the day they opened and man it has gone way down hill unfriendly and uncoordinated staff food is way overpriced you will never get everybody's food at the table at once. Not at all worth it compared to El Tapatio. I don't expect Fiesta Cancun to be open much longer. We are now enjoying a meal from the awesome Eltaptio super friendly and just about everything is $2 to $3 cheaper than fiesta and the food at eltap is the 💣. We will NOT be back to fiesta they should find a better person to train their ABC classes and uncoordinated unfriendly staff everyone should be where El Tapatio is 100 times better and a...
