Wander Bandon Beach — Hotel in Coos Bay

Wander Bandon Beach is a true gem of a property in Oregon. It is right on the beach, close to downtown and has everything you could need right on site. I came here for a retreat with a few friends/colleagues that work virtually and live across the globe. Our incredible experience made us decide to make Wander-cations a regular reunion activity.

The whole experience truly felt like a retreat. Wander greeted us in their typical fashion with a custom snack box, drinks and even alcohol. Each bathroom was stocked with their signature fluffy robes, giving us that five star hotel feeling. Not to mention, the house was spotless. We could tell Wander put a lot of effort into ensuring that every aspect of our experience was perfect.

The goal of our reunion was to work through some new ideas for company projects and Wander equipped us with everything we needed for success. The high-speed internet and professional desk set ups made it easy for us to transfer our ideas from paper to digital form. The sit-to-stand desks and ergonomic seating definitely made a difference to our engineers, who excitedly worked through our first night at Wander.

In the evenings, we were able to get to know one another better by hanging out and using the Wander amenities. The huge sliding glass doors from the kitchen/living room open out to a spacious patio with a fire pit where we roasted marshmallows when it got dark. Just outside the home, overlooking the beach, is wonderful hot tub, which we also made good use of.

One of my friends is a part-time personal trainer, so she led us through in a mini boot camp course using the Wander gym. The gym had all of the equipment that we needed, including yoga mats, various-sized weights, an erg, and even a Peloton. In addition to the Tesla that Wander provided us to drive around town, they also had two e-bikes at the house that we used to tour the beach.

The wonderful Wander customer service staff flawlessly coordinated all of the details of our trip. Right down the road from the Wander is a riding stable, where Wander concierge made arrangements for our group to have a private horseback-riding trip on the beach at sunset. Concierge also helped us arrange dinner reservations and a half-day ATV tour. Their 24/7 support is simply unbeatable, within minutes they answered all of our questions and helped ensure that our stay was sublime.

We had so much fun on this trip that we didn’t want to leave. We asked to extend our stay, but unfortunately Wander Bandon Beach was all booked up for the weeks following our stay. Still, Wander concierge did an excellent job and was able to get some of us a few extra nights at Wander Orford Cliffs, just a short drive away from Wander...

My wife and I along with my brother and his wife stayed here last November. I cannot express this enough, the view was AMAZING! It overlooks the northwest pacific ocean and its beautiful rock formations jetting out of the water.

The house is amazing in its own right. Everything was crafted with the highest quality materials. Everything felt luxurious.

I personally loved the outdoor desk and hot tub. The hose also came with a Tesla which was fun driving around Bandon. I wish I could give this more...

Wander Bandon Beach is the most incredible home, and in the most amazing setting, that we have ever vacationed in. So much so, that we have booked it again just a couple of months after our visit. This time for a month. We have also booked the Wander Orford Cliffs home for a few days during the next visit. Wander Bandon Beach home was so beautiful and so decompressing, we ate in every night and used the BBQ most of the time. Cooking outside and watching the waves of the rugged Pacific ocean...
