I don’t recommend staying at this hotel. I searched hotels for a two night stay for myself, daughter & grandson to attend a funeral in town. I search and only three hotels showed up in Corcoran so I read the reviews and based on that the only difference was Corcoran country inn had a hot continental breakfast included so we booked with them. Let me say that was a mistake. Check in was not very friendly or inviting. Room was clean and like the pictures. The bed was hard as a rock you could feel the springs sticking through the mattress. I wasn’t expecting down feather toppers but tolerable. Woke up to go enjoy hot continental breakfast to walk into mini pre wrapped danishes (4 only) three bruised up red apples, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bagels (2 plan ones) half a gallon oj and half gallon milk and two kinds of cereal. I asked them what part of this is a HOT BREAKFAST??? She said you can put bagel in toaster and the coffee is hot. I was shocked….. I wasn’t expecting a buffet but damn a hot breakfast is not a bagel you can put in a toaster let alone not even enough for all of us. We were there at 705am and it started at 700am there was tons of guest staying there the parking lot was almost full. We left and had to go to McDonald’s for some hot food. Water temperature is set way too low for showers. When we returned after funeral that evening and the room hadn’t been touched. I called front desk and she stated that they don’t clean rooms unless you put the sign out on the door. (Sign stated on one side “maid services as soon as possible” and other side “do not disturb”. So I didn’t put it out because we were going to be gone all day so I didn’t want them to have to rush to clean our room when we weren’t in a hurry. If at check in I was told that I would have put sign out to have room cleaned at all I would have set it out… So I asked for at least some new towels and she brought some down. I don’t know if there has been a change in ownership since other decent reviews posted or what but i chose this place based on its previous reviews and the fact it stated it had a HOT CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST and the other hotels didn’t. I understand you get what you pay for but I have stayed at way cheaper places for way better service/stay. I don’t base my stay on the price but reviews, amenities , and options here in Corcoran are slim. But advertising things that are just not the case isn’t right! Don’t say comfortable beds or hot breakfast when it’s bagels and hot coffee and a below standard mattress. I highly recommend driving 15 mins back to Hanford or further to Tulare, Delano or take your chance and nap in car at...
Read moreSuch an unusual experience that I don't know how to rate it! I'll leave out the neutral seeming odd aspects and just describe the good and bad oddities.
Their advertised free breakfast doesn't exist, but I was told that they intend to provide one starting someday soon. Their advertised free wi-fi couldn't be accessed using the very complicated password that had been handwritten during check-in, and the excuse they gave was that their wi-fi doesn't work on Apple products, even though I kept telling them that what I had tried to access it on was a Microsoft Windows laptop instead. They kept talking about iPhones as a reason even though I don't own an iPhone and kept saying so! No towels at all in the room, and I was told that it must have been some sort of mistake by housekeeping AND that the front desk must have misunderstood me when I called about that complete lack of towels in my room (the response to me over the phone when I called about there being no towels had been "No, no. No towels."
On the GOOD side: The room was incredibly clean, it was very quiet at night, and the security gate is a nice feature. I think those are the most important aspects to a budget hotel. So I guess I'll give it 4 stars for now and hopefully if I stay there in the future the odd aspects won't keep...
Read moreThe rooms are simple and clean, which is a bonus in my book. They come with a fridge, microwave, and airconditioning. The beds are firm the pillows are reasonable of thickness (not the neck breakers so many hotels love to stock). Breakfast is offered with the room, but we passed for something with more options. For the extreme budget traveler, the added breakfast is an added bonus. One can choose from fresh waffles, cold cereal, packaged pastries, coffee, and tea. There is also a nice little Mexican restaurant sharing the same building as the office which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While there is a small pool, it was closed when we stayed here. I have a feeling it's because early April isn't really swimming weather, but it was already getting hot in the afternoon. I also discovered a laundromat washer and dryer outside the last unit downstairs which may mean once and do a load while they rest up for the next leg of their journey. Overall the staff is friendly and...
