I went with my girlfriend to corpus cristi Texas because we have a streaming show and this time was about Selena the singer we choose Fairfield hotel by marriot got there around almost 11 pm we got a king bad room when we got in the room I noticed that it was dark so I checked and two of the lamp didn't have light bulbs so I called and nobody answered I went downstairs to tell the front desk gentleman and he told me they didn't have light bulbs so I went back to my room I was very tired when I turn around I saw my girlfriend walking to the bathroom and only thingi heard I can't believe it so nasty she almost vomit when I went to check I saw a big nasty bugers on the wall I couldn't believe so nasty so I took few pictures and still couldn't believe it,next day I spoke with Megan which she was in charge at that moment and told her about the issue she never even offered to clean the wall or send someone to clean it I she gave the card of the Manager of the hotel I told this lady that I need to talk to the manager guest what she never called so 2 days later I called and I talked to the manager Tammy Ramires in the beginning she was ok and told me that she will not charge for the room she only will charge 250 dollars because the cleaning lady found ashes of cigarettes we didn't smoke and the room so the room was smoke free what about bugers free she never contact me im talking about the manager Tammy Ramires so I will never ever going back to that hotel and i want compensation for all this wasting time and I will call the ceo for marriot I don't think they will like what's happened if the hotel doesn't call me back I will go to the tv because we can't accept the way they handled this situation.

100% using Covid as an excuse to skimp on cleaning costs! Would not stay here again. Would not recommend. I could’ve overlooked the janky elevator, the meh breakfast food, the tops of the mirror and shower not cleaned because it was apparent the person that cleaned it was short. But on the 3rd morning of our stay we followed the instructions found in our room and filled out a housekeeping form to refresh the room and get clean towels. The lady at the front was talking to another guest (all I heard was there was a footprint on the top of their toilet…so cleanliness is clearly an issue) and she asked if we were checking out. I said no, just filling out a housekeeping form. She immediately said, wait, how long have you been here? I said this was going to be the 3rd night. She said you can’t have housekeeping. I said, okay, don’t worry about the sheets, what about the towels. And she said that these requests need to be made early in the morning. I looked at my phone (because I thought I remembered the printout in the room saying later than it was) and I answered her very confused “It’s not even 9am” and she gave a sigh with attitude and said “Don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of it”. She also asked what our room number was in front of other guests and I find that is probably a breach in security. When an employee in the hospitality industry treats you like you’re making an unreasonable request to switch out towels for your third day…they immediately get 1 star. And the reason I say they’re using Covid as an excuse not to do it, it’s because out of all of the several Covid policies posted throughout the hotel, the cleaning is the ONLY policy I saw them implement our 4 day stay.

We booked here for a week during our vacation. It was a great choice, the location is a short drive away from everything. Breakfast every morning. The pool is great, water temperature was always perfect. The only down side right now is you have to request things for your room, but its because of covid things that are still in place. Its a very simple process, you just have to make sure to get it downstairs. Our room faced the super bright billboard out front and the first night it was somewhat bothersome but after that we figured out how to get the curtains just right and we didn't mind it. I highly recommend this hotel. Very clean. Updated. Has laundry, workout room, ice machine, pool etc everything you could need for a stay. Chris, the guy working the front desk the days we were there was so helpful and friendly. He always greeted us with a smile and asked how we were doing. We had lots of questions being as we were from out of town, he always had great recommendations on both local attractions and restaurants. Sherry, she was one of the housekeepers and she was also fantastic. Anytime we needed something she was always on top of it, she was also extremely helpful and friendly.

There are lots of little things that I was willing to overlook at this hotel. We walked in the lobby to and empty desk and awkwardly approached. Looked around for a second. Then the front desk person came out of the room and was very pleasant and sent us to our room with one key. Most hotels give us 2. We got on the elevator and stood in the elevator looking at each other in horror at the sounds it made. No biggie. We got to our room and the door was cracked open. I made my wife wait while I checked the room for anyone that may be in there. Went back to close the door and realized I had to force the door shut. Which was annoying during a 4 day stay. The mirrors and windows were clean… except for the tops. I guess the house keeper was short…everything above 5 ft was still dirty. No biggie. Every surface above 4 ft in the room was dusty, which is gross. There were questionable stains in several spots on the carpet. The ledge under the window and around the AC unit was loose and was basically leaning against the wall. Safety issue! All issues I was willing to overlook. Bed was not comfy. It wasn’t horrible but not great. The ding from the elevator was extremely loud all night long. Breakfast was very underwhelming after seeing the pictures of breakfast online. All of this was fine until day 3 we followed the instructions in the room and went to the front desk to fill out a housekeeping request to have our room refreshed and our towels changed. We filled it out and put it in the basket. The lady up front that was taking a complaint from another person about footprints on their toilet. We dropped of the slip and the lady yelled past the other gentleman to us asking if we were checking out. We said “no we are just filling out a housekeeping request” she seemed very irritated and asked how long we have been there. We said it was our third day. She said you have to wait until the fourth day. We said that’s not what the paper in the room says. And she said I am sorry. So my wife said “well can we get some new towels?”(they only gave us 2) she said those requests need to be made early so the housekeepers can get it ready. We looked at our phones and said it’s not even 9 yet. She made a shooing motion and said I’ll take care of it in a very rude tone. We left very upset. I have never been talked to that way at any hotel or motel ever. In the hospitality industry you never talk to a customer in that way. EVER. We went to the beach and came back at 2pm still no towels no refresh. I found the housekeeper and she was very pleasant and gave me 2new towels. We told her don’t worry about the refresh. ||||Summary: this place is using Covid as an excuse to not clean which is counter productive to preventing Covid. It is not a large hotel more accountability is needed with housekeeping and maintenance. Any lady that speaks to a guest the way we were spoken to should be fired. If you have Covid protocols follow them all not just the convenient ones. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be staying at a Marriott bonvoy hotel if this is how they are...

This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel stay. My company hosted a training here with preparations being made far in advance, however on our first day of training the conference room was not set up and the person on staff had no idea what we were talking about. When they were finally able to set us up, we literally had one conference table and two 6ft plastic tables, there was not table clothes/table covering to put on the tables. It looked absolutely hideous. To top it all off they had no amenities to provide for our set up, no ice bucket, utensils, napkins…. We literally had to use one of those silver bowls that they mix the waffle mix in and then we were told they only had one bowl🤦🏾‍♀️. The customer service absolutely sucked with the day shift. The front desk worker , Angela, had a very nasty attitude and made us feel real uncomfortable to even ask her anything. She watched us like a hawk, and when someone asked her her name she asked them why did they want to know her name in a very condescending tone. Let’s not talk about the towels, OMG I literally had stained towels set up in my bathroom. Like it literally looked like someone washed literal dirt off of their body. Be mindful, this wasn’t just one towel….. It was a few, the same happened with other coworkers. Like really, they shouldn’t give these towels to guest, throw them away…… Ice machines had minimal ice, and often times didn’t even work. This hotel just really lacked so much, but most importantly it lacked customer service; which is always big in my book. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Oh, and on another note…..it stinks. It smells like wet carpet. When another guest asked about the smell, they told him it’s because they are close to water🤣🤣🤣 This wasn’t a beach smell. And the last thing, the pool area was a mess…. Pool was dirty and they literally had two outdoor chairs at the bottom of the pool. It was really just...
