There are lots of little things that I was willing to overlook at this hotel. We walked in the lobby to and empty desk and awkwardly approached. Looked around for a second. Then the front desk person came out of the room and was very pleasant and sent us to our room with one key. Most hotels give us 2. We got on the elevator and stood in the elevator looking at each other in horror at the sounds it made. No biggie. We got to our room and the door was cracked open. I made my wife wait while I checked the room for anyone that may be in there. Went back to close the door and realized I had to force the door shut. Which was annoying during a 4 day stay. The mirrors and windows were clean… except for the tops. I guess the house keeper was short…everything above 5 ft was still dirty. No biggie. Every surface above 4 ft in the room was dusty, which is gross. There were questionable stains in several spots on the carpet. The ledge under the window and around the AC unit was loose and was basically leaning against the wall. Safety issue! All issues I was willing to overlook. Bed was not comfy. It wasn’t horrible but not great. The ding from the elevator was extremely loud all night long. Breakfast was very underwhelming after seeing the pictures of breakfast online. All of this was fine until day 3 we followed the instructions in the room and went to the front desk to fill out a housekeeping request to have our room refreshed and our towels changed. We filled it out and put it in the basket. The lady up front that was taking a complaint from another person about footprints on their toilet. We dropped of the slip and the lady yelled past the other gentleman to us asking if we were checking out. We said “no we are just filling out a housekeeping request” she seemed very irritated and asked how long we have been there. We said it was our third day. She said you have to wait until the fourth day. We said that’s not what the paper in the room says. And she said I am sorry. So my wife said “well can we get some new towels?”(they only gave us 2) she said those requests need to be made early so the housekeepers can get it ready. We looked at our phones and said it’s not even 9 yet. She made a shooing motion and said I’ll take care of it in a very rude tone. We left very upset. I have never been talked to that way at any hotel or motel ever. In the hospitality industry you never talk to a customer in that way. EVER. We went to the beach and came back at 2pm still no towels no refresh. I found the housekeeper and she was very pleasant and gave me 2new towels. We told her don’t worry about the refresh. ||||Summary: this place is using Covid as an excuse to not clean which is counter productive to preventing Covid. It is not a large hotel more accountability is needed with housekeeping and maintenance. Any lady that speaks to a guest the way we were spoken to should be fired. If you have Covid protocols follow them all not just the convenient ones. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be staying at a Marriott bonvoy hotel if this is how they are...

Read moreThis was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel stay. My company hosted a training here with preparations being made far in advance, however on our first day of training the conference room was not set up and the person on staff had no idea what we were talking about. When they were finally able to set us up, we literally had one conference table and two 6ft plastic tables, there was not table clothes/table covering to put on the tables. It looked absolutely hideous. To top it all off they had no amenities to provide for our set up, no ice bucket, utensils, napkins…. We literally had to use one of those silver bowls that they mix the waffle mix in and then we were told they only had one bowl🤦🏾♀️. The customer service absolutely sucked with the day shift. The front desk worker , Angela, had a very nasty attitude and made us feel real uncomfortable to even ask her anything. She watched us like a hawk, and when someone asked her her name she asked them why did they want to know her name in a very condescending tone. Let’s not talk about the towels, OMG I literally had stained towels set up in my bathroom. Like it literally looked like someone washed literal dirt off of their body. Be mindful, this wasn’t just one towel….. It was a few, the same happened with other coworkers. Like really, they shouldn’t give these towels to guest, throw them away…… Ice machines had minimal ice, and often times didn’t even work. This hotel just really lacked so much, but most importantly it lacked customer service; which is always big in my book. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Oh, and on another note…..it stinks. It smells like wet carpet. When another guest asked about the smell, they told him it’s because they are close to water🤣🤣🤣 This wasn’t a beach smell. And the last thing, the pool area was a mess…. Pool was dirty and they literally had two outdoor chairs at the bottom of the pool. It was really just...
