Hello there I’m not the type of guy to leave bad reviews. But I had an awful bad experience I ended up in the hospital because one of the employees laced my food with marijuana. Also I do not smoke marijuana I don’t do any of that stuff. I knows it’s hard to believe but yes whataburger laced my food with marijuana. I took a bite of my bob and it tasted funny and I told my brother and sister “ hey does yah bob taste funny mine taste like weed? My siblings responded saying no it tasted fine. I told myself maybe the burnt the eggs on the side maybe that’s why it tasted like that because it tasted like the smell of burnt but then it didn’t it smelt like weed but i was like whataburger can’t do that there’s no way but it happened. Anyways time goes on and I start feeling weird, dry mouthed, I got super pale, I couldn’t feel my skin I thought I was going to die I had to keep drinking water because my tongue felt like sandpaper. My brother rushed me to the hospital and I couldn’t find a 24/7 hospital for adults so I went to Driscoll children’s hospital I thought I was going to die and they could’ve transferred me to a adults hospital if anything worse happens to me. I took a urine test because and the doctors came back saying that I’m positive for marijuana. When I told the doctors my story they didn’t believe me because it’s hard to believe. And I was being truthful I don’t smoke at all. So I was like yup whataburger laced my food with weed because after I ate that bob thats when I felt funny. I left the hospital at 5am woke up late for work because of the incident. My sister called and complained and the manager didn’t even take it serious he just made my sister feel dumb saying “is that all?” I know it’s hard people to believe me but I can’t stay quiet about this. This could’ve been a child that took a bite into the burger and could’ve probably died or overdosed or an innocent person who doesn’t smoke ends up in the hospital like me. I never had a bad experience at this whataburger until that night be aware people they are lacing peoples food with marijuana or who knows what else more but I need to put the word out there to keep others safe and to be cautious. Read moreToday was a sad day, I ordered my usual sweet n spicy bacon burger with no onions and Powerade with no ice right before I had class from 12:30-5pm, I got there around 12:10 curbside, got my food and as soon as I pulled into Delmar parking lot I got my burger and take two bites right away and full of onions. I HATE ONIONS! Also, I got a coke instead of my Powerade. Pissed off, I take a picture of the burger opened up showing ALL the onions, and then head into class, on break I call Whataburger to explain the situation and spoke with a “manager” name manny/manuel and he could care-less. Very disappointed on how he handled the situation. Basically telling me nothing he could do and just trying to get me off the phone. Very poor management skills. Later, I go over there because I wanna talk to another manager and let em know the situation. I spoke with a Mr. Gary and he was the opposite, very considerate and trying to make it right which I appreciate. And while I was talking to Mr. Gary, Manny/Manuel is standing there mean mugging me the whole time as if I made the mistake or lying about it, I had the picture with timestamp within 10 minutes of receipt. All I wanted was a burger with no onions, I hadn’t eaten all day, had to go through whole class starving, right after having to go to work, and basically not eating all day. Mr. Gary did offer to remake my burger but at that point it was principle over product, I wasn’t there to get free food but to express my disappointment and plus I have a rule, never eat anywhere you don’t trust, and I didn’t and don’t trust that Whataburger with manny there. Hopefully management sees this and guides him to having better customer service as a “manager” I have over 63,000 lifetime points, I choose Whataburger over everything because Ive always felt like Whataburger cares about their customers and today Manny has made me changed that and now I will be going to nasty BK across the street when I’m on that...
Read moreI was just there for over an hour on new years eve at 845 pm with my 10 year old son in the store and my wife and 8 year old in the car. i didn't leave the store until 945pm for a pre-made online order that was supposed to be ready for pickup at 849 pm. they were a disaster. me and my son sat down as we watched dozens of people leave with their food. I kept reminding them and they were all over the place. another customer spoke up for me as well. when they did bring the food it was incorrect. I went and told the manager and waited a good while. they never brought the food out. At this point I was there for a good 40 minutes. I asked for a refund, they took my food behind the counter, then a few minutes later they were claiming that no one took our food and we were already given it. I believe the managers name was Ashley, I could be wrong but she was the woman in charge on new years eve. she said she couldn't give a 40$ refund because she would "hear it from her boss" they remade the food. I got home to realize they forgot the sauces I paid extra for on another ticket that I had given them the receipt to prior to my original order disappearing. Take my time idc, but to take my kids time on new years eve for so long with no way out is unnaceptable! This was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had in my entire life at any restaurant.
