Note that all of the following claims are supported by a police report which should be a public record.
I have been to many different RV Parks, from Mexico to Yellowstone, and I have never had any issues with any owners or managers, until this place.
From the moment we checked in, it seemed like the owner/ manager (not sure who it was but some angry looking lady) was angry at us. She would stare at our camp from her little cabin at the top of the hill, to the point that we would be uncomfortable even eating food outside. She also told us that "if people want to visit you in the park, they have to pay extra" and that one of our friends had to move his car to the extra parking spots even though he had paid extra for a parking spot of his own.
But that is not where the problems started. We can deal with uneducated managers and discriminatory practices from people that need to get out more, but we draw the line with coming by our spot over 50 times in 3 days and warning us not to do stuff (like being loud).... in an rv park.... even though our neighbors were doing the exact same thing. Also, calling the police on us, only for the police to end up interviewing almost everyone at the site, and apologizing to us for the discriminatory actions of the managers. I kid you not, the police apologized to us because of the managers being essentially racist. Even our neighbors approached us later and expressed that they were surprised that the managers called the police.
At one point, they (the managers) referred to us as "Armenian" and approached individual members expressing sentiments that we must be Armenian because we had a hookah. Note that the rules do not forbid a hookah and in fact so many people at the park were smoking, that it seemed almost ludicrous to approach us for that.
Also, beyond the racist actions and the constant harassment, the internet is a ripoff. DO NOT BUY THE INTERNET. The wifi barely ever works and you had to buy it for it to just stop working on you anyway.
I will never go to a RV Park, with such blatantly racist managers who abuse their power and need to be taken down a peg or two. Calm down, the 1940's ended 70 years ago. Put your customers first and stop being children every time you want to throw a fit, we had children with us that acted more mature than...
Read moreBeautiful small camp & RV park. I would encourage bringing water shoes to wade through the ankle/knee and some chest high water. Bring an inner tube to enjoy. Bring small leuers to catch and release small bass and trout...you will catch many of them which is great for the kiddos. Downstream 50 yards is a bridge where catching many crawfish under it can be a blast. Tie a string to a stick and tie a piece of bacon to the other end and have a pot or bucket ready, slowly bring them up and into the pot. They taste like snow crab when boiled (add salt and seasoning to the water)! They do allow wood fires but you need to bring your own fire pit (there is a metal trash can to dump your ashes in). There is quite a bit of shade from large trees but I still recomend a sunshade during the summer. There are also restrooms with 2 showers in each, a laundromat with 2 washers and dryers. For RVs, the sites have water and electric hookups...no sewer but they have a grey/black cleanout on site. A few vineyards are nearby and I'm not sure but it looked like a busy restaurant is a 1 minute walk away... obviously super close. There is also a hatchery nearby (sign says visitors welcome) yet I'm not sure what kind of fish are there. There is also a gas station 10 min. away. Even with the few negatives below, we will be returning! Negatives... No cell phone reception! But you can pay $5 for wifi. There was fine sand all around the campsite which will make it nearly impossible to keep sand out of...
Read moreAfter months of health issues, my husband and I needed to pack up our travel trailer, our two dogs and just "get outa Dodge". We wanted someplace close to home and decided, never having been to Page Springs Park, we'd take a chance. If you're looking for a place full of kids on motorized scooters, unattended, motorcycles coming and going all day and into the night, loud music, this time of year you won't be interested in this park. But, if, you want to watch the stars, be within walking distance from the creek after being lulled to sleep to the sound of the water, very few campers, right next door to "Up the Creek Restaurant", this is the place that should be on the top of your list. The gentleman who takes care of the grounds was extremely pleasant, the manager was very nice. It's an old campground, lots of full hookups, tent area right on the creek. All in all, we loved it, will go back as soon as possible and it was EVERYTHING we asked for. It was mosquito and fly season so bring spray, right in the middle of Monsoon season so the fishing wasn't good but none of the above was the fault of the mgmt. We left packing and breaking camp until the very last minute as we just didn't want the week to end. On a score of 10, we give it a 11. Thank you so much Page Springs, you were just what the...
