I hate leaving a negative review but this stop wasn’t worth it. We arrived at 3:30 on 10/23 and it took 25 minutes for someone to come take our order. A group that got seated 5 minutes after us was waited on and served before us (and even there service was abysmally slow!) At 3:55, we finally placed our order for two wine flights.
Then, we waited and waited and waited some more! We went inside and inquired after 15 minutes and were told our 2 wine flights “would be right out.” Meanwhile, the staff just seemed to be hanging out inside. It wasn’t even busy!
I set a timer on my watch for 5 minutes and we decided that if the timer went off before our wine flights arrived, that we’d just leave.
Well, the timer went off.
I’ve never left a bar/restaurant — anything — after having ordered and was mortified at doing this, having served tables and as someone who makes a living in the hospitality industry — but I can’t imagine treating customers like this!
The service was BEYOND slow. How long does it take to pour a wine flight?
The employees were nonchalant and simply hanging out, barely working.
Management and ownership need to step up. I am a small business owner and if my staff was this lackluster in their treatment of guests, I’d be making some major changes.
We were not the only group to get up and leave after being ignored. 3 different groups left.
When all was said and done, we were there 45 minutes without anything to drink.
Save yourself the hassle and go to Javelina Leap or Page Springs Cellars. Both had excellent wine and attentive staff.
Truly disappointed and hope that this place can step up its game to be on par with...
Read moreMy wife and I are just days away from celebrating our one year anniversary of finding Oak Creek Vineyards. We were on an actual marriage anniversary trip last year when we stumbled in. We have not looked back!! We have loved all of the wines that Oak Creek has and have not disliked any of them. We definitely have our favorites, but all have been worthy of a trip home to share with friends and family. Last year we joined the apprentice membership which had a low bar to entry just in case we weren’t sure. This year we upped it to the top shelf as we have continued to love the wine and what OC is all about. As of this writing we went up and tasted next years release (25) and WOW. We are so excited that we pre ordered (a year in advance) seven bottles. We also had a great chat with Gary (owner) and discussed wine, it’s making process, the grapes, their amazing team and wine maker Adam and what the future holds for Oak Creek. We have always been treated great on our visits and generally block a whole day to go up, enjoy what’s new and eat some grub. The food and the charcuterie boards are top notch and so good. Oak Creek is VERY KID FRIENDLY and our kid enjoys our family wine trips. The chef did change the menu a little from our last trip so the pizza like flat bread was not available so just be sure to bring some snacks or food for the littles and you’ll be winning! Thankfully our little was feeling food explorative and we didn’t totally loose her. Either way, OC has been a great find and we love it all! The next release will be in November, so until then, happy sips. Ps, we went to collect our two bottles from the release and we came...
Read moreWhile vineyard-hopping through Page Springs (because what better way to spend a perfect day?), we made a stop at Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery, and let’s just say—we were not disappointed.
The adobe-style building, tucked up against the hills, feels like a desert oasis that just so happens to serve incredible wine. From the moment we stepped onto the gravel patio lined with string lights, big bold umbrellas, and plenty of tables for lounging, we knew we’d found a sweet spot. The vibe is relaxed, cozy, and quietly cool—kind of like your artsy friend who also knows how to throw a great party.
Inside, it’s part tasting room, part local boutique—with shelves of merch, wine-themed goodies, and even a few owl-shaped knick-knacks (because why not?). Barrels line the walls, adding rustic flair, and there’s even a water cooler for those pacing their wine tastings like responsible adults.
The wine flights were excellent, each glass full of bold Arizona flavor and poured by staff who clearly love what they do. The charcuterie boards were top-notch too—salty meats, creamy cheeses, nuts, fruit, and that little touch of “I could live like this every day.”
We lucked out with slightly cloudy skies and cool breezes, the kind of weather that makes you want to sip slowly and take it all in. Between the peaceful setting, the wonderful staff, and wines we’re still dreaming about, Oak Creek is a must-stop for any Page Springs wine adventure.
Bonus points for the patio seating—it’s perfect for sipping Syrah while pretending you’ve just inherited a vineyard and this is...
