We had a HORRIBLE time finding a room due to football season starting in Stillwater. I was surprised to find that the motel was remodeled on inside. Had a double bed room. New furniture. Great HDTV/internet. New carpet/paint/tile/sink. Bathroom small but ok. Needed new tub/faucets. Was supposed to get the room with kitchenette but it was booked for another week. Didn't get to see that room. It always stayed filled with local workers. No pool/filled in with dirt. Ice machine/soda machine. Super nice staff! Looks like a really large bunk house for a ranch. Cute style. Just need to update front of motel to make it more appealing to customers. Soft bed, need better pillows and modern spread to match carpet/paint. I would stay here again. Moved out before morning of earthquake, which shook high school across street. Stillwater got shook up too. Day of BIG football season startup. Just had local water/sewer issues. Apartment complex immediately on job to search for damages. We were lucky. Left eastern NC, hurricane going on there, to come here to experience earthquake! Used to hurricanes/tornadoes/flooding/winds, but no...
Read moreRoom was clean and big. Plenty of room for a fridge and microwave but didnt have one. Bed was basic normal hotel bed fine for sleeping on. The comforter had some burn holes which is common in a non smoking room, hehe. I was due to check out at 11am, I left the hotel about 7:30 am for about 2 hours, came back extended my room for another night after which I went back to my room and found that housekeeping had been there and had taken all my towels except 1 bath towel. I figured that they would be back. I left for lunch and ran into them and reminded them to bring towels but she didnt understand a word I was saying. At 4 pm I had to go to the desk to tell them I needed towels. Checkout day, 9am, I was all packed and was about to leave when housekeeping just walked in. I asked them if they thought it would be a good idea to know first and they said I knocked I told her that I was standing right there and there was no knock, finally I just said whatever and left. I couldnt understand a thing she was saying. Regular tv, cable worked fine. Wifi was ok, not great speed. Easy access, and not a lot but a variety of...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at the Wilshire Inn and Suites recently because it was close to a family reunion we were to attend. I checked hotel/motel prices in nearby Stillwater and Drumwright, and found them to be too expensive. I booked the room, sight unseen, and was slightly apprehensive as to what we would find, but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms, were neat and clean, with a wonderfully comfortable king sized bed, micro- fridge and microwave and room card entry, instead of keys that you find at so many older motels. Room security is top on my priority list, as is a well lit parking area, and the Wilshire has both. Our room was $53.03 a night (that is with tax included), double occupancy. I thought it was priced very reasonably, compaired to what I was finding in Stillwater or Drumwright.||||I would definately recommend the Wilshire Inn and Suites if you want a good value with clean and comfortable rooms. If you require luxury and "high end living", then I would suggest going...
