What a magical place to land on our road trip to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. ·If you’re looking for a home away from home with gorgeous, modern, and comfortable rooms. Plus the bonus of the B&B host making you a scrumptious breakfast, look no further than Eagle's Landing Lodge. We’re so thankful for our stay at #eagleslandinglodge in Custer, South Dakota. This truly was a magnificent experience with the most hospitable hosts you could ever ask for! Deb, Linda, and Lisa, you’re extra special, and we’re grateful for going the extra mile to make us feel so welcome! Your Lodge is the best Bed and Breakfast we’ve ever stayed at! This Black Hills vacation was in honor of my father, who passed away two and a half years ago! My father, being from South Dakota, loved the Black Hills, and he couldn’t wait to beat cancer to take a dream trip in his twilight years. Well, needless to say, he passed before we could make his dream come true! So, he asked on his deathbed for me, his daughter, to go in his honor! A funny thing is that my dad absolutely loved Eagles (especially Bald Eagles). So it was so apropos to find Eagles Landing Lodge while surfing the net on places to stay! It couldn’t have been more perfect, and my husband Scott and I plan to return someday soon with more family members. Eagles Landing Lodge is conveniently located just outside of downtown Custer. Super accessible to all the state parks and national monuments! The yummy home-cooked Eagles Landing breakfast will be sure to fill your tummy and get your day going! Don’t miss out on the margarita’s and popcorn in the afternoon. Take a pleasure pause on the wonderful porch and enjoy the view. Be sure to meet Brian and Chaz and eat at their food truck on the property called “Only Cajun”. It’s hands down the best food in town! Thanks, Brian, for cooking us such a delicious dinner. We savored every bite! All in all, this was a trip for the record books in creating mountains of memories! Thank you Eagles Landing Crew for everything~ I invite all to book your stay @ #eagleslandinglodge and grab a bite...

We just wrapped up an eight day stay at Eagle’s Landing Lodge and it could not have been better. Deb the owner and her sister Linda the GM were incredible hosts. They were warm, welcoming, and always ready with great local tips. A special thank you to Lisa who was just as friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home every single day.

Our room was spotless and the king size bed was so comfortable after long days of exploring. The bidet was an unexpected luxury. Honestly, I wish every accommodation offered one. We also loved having a mini fridge and freezer in the room which made it easy to keep drinks cold and store snacks for our hikes.

Eagle’s Landing is ideal for large groups and families with plenty of space and a laid back atmosphere. The location is perfect too. It is only a few minutes from Custer and close to everything you want to see in the Black Hills. We loved having the pool table for relaxing evenings after our adventures and really appreciated the refrigerator available to guests in the common area for extra storage. We were lucky enough to enjoy the authentic Cajun food truck parked out front for summer 2025. It was a fun surprise that added flavor (literally) to our evenings.

And of course, South Dakota in July is gorgeous. We did it all. Hikes, lakes, wildlife, the 1880 Train, Crazy Horse, you name it. Eagle’s Landing was the perfect home base for all of it.

Highly recommend. We will...

I cannot say enough good things about Eagle's Landing Lodge. When were arrived, Lisa greeted us right away and made us feel at home. This was not like any place we've stayed before. Kind of a beautiful merger between hotel and bed & breakfast, with a bit of home thrown in. The rooms are amazing - incredibly clean and so comfortable. We laughed at the "fancy" toilet seat (motion-sensing lid and bidet equipped) and very much appreciated the rain shower. Each room had a keurig machine and selection of coffee, in addition to the coffee and breakfast items available in the common area. If a guest chooses to cook while visiting, the kitchen is available. One of the guests cooked dinner for everyone one evening. Lots of great restaurants just down the street in Custer, and easy to get to all the local attractions. However, the best part is the family atmosphere. There were visitors from the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and locations around the US. What a wonderful melting pot! I can't wait to visit again. Deb, you have created a very special place! Thank you!

Spent nine days here with wife & friends and we couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations. Room was very clean, having a walk in shower, separate bathroom area with a double bowl sink and a large mirror. The king sized bed was very comfortable, provided for a good night’s sleep. A microwave and small refrigerator come standard in each room too, as well as a large flat screen tv. Common areas allow guests to use kitchen for meal prep and dining, along with a complimentary coffee station for your morning cup of joe. The large farmers porch was perfect for meals or meeting fellow travelers, many of which were foreigners from Europe. The best part of the experience was our host Debbie along with her daughter who were always generous with their time for each guest. It made the lodge feel homely to be welcomed so generously by the owners. All in all staying here felt like home and would recommend the Eagle’s Landing to all visitors coming to the area.
