Urban Mutt Retreat — Hotel in Cypress

My family and I, including our fur children Remi and Roxi, cannot say how grateful we are to UMR/ staff!! We have 2 am-staff/ pitties, one of which is a special boy who requires ALOT of TLC. Because of his breed and appearance looks scary and common to his breed, very set in his ways, very protective of his fur sis, and can come off as “aggressive” if forced to do something he doesn’t want to. We/ he had a bad experience at a DIFFERENT nearby boarding facility many years ago (the 1st time we boarded him) and needless to say, since we found UMR ~3 years ago have been loyal ever since. We always know 1000% they are well cared for and having a great time playing with their fur friends. Nothing can beat our peace of mind knowing we absolutely don’t have to worry and the videos/ pics posted daily are so awesome! Our recent trip involved us asking if they could stay and an extra couple days and it was no problem at all. Ours share an indoor/ outdoor run which works out perfect if you have 2 pups. We, now more than ever, will be back regularly for daycare/ friend playtime and of course will be returning for future boarding. I love Urban Mutt Retreat! We’ve boarded with them several times. During one of those stays, one of our dogs got sick (not related to UMR’s care), and they were amazing in how they handled it. We were out of the country, but they kept us updated via text with frequent check ins and status updates. She ended up needing to go to the vet, and they were super helpful with getting that coordinated along with continuing to care for our other dog who was there.

Every time our dogs have been, they’ve had the best time and were even sent home with a craft once. After every stay they are exhausted from all the activities. It’s very important to us that they don’t just spend all day in a kennel. They get to play with the other dogs who go for daycare or are being boarded as well. I also love that they post pictures every day on Facebook of all the dogs there having fun and running around. It’s nice to be able to hop on and see how they’re doing. The pictures are all super high quality as well. Our older dog recently passed, and the pictures from UMR are some of the best we have and are so incredibly special to us to keep her...

We took our babies here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and have already booked here for upcoming trips! The staff are so friendly and what sets CLMK apart from other places is the care and attention they give to animals in their care. They sent me pictures of our babies while we were gone, and our babies were able to play with the other dogs while they were there. I know the owner personally and can attest to her love and dedication to animals. Not only does she own CLMK, she founded a dog rescue organization. She’s been involved with saving and improving the lives of dogs for as long as I’ve known her, over 14 years. An added bonus is since she’s so involved in rescuing dogs, shes just as knowledgeable as a vet and knows if something is wrong and what’s needed if something is wrong. If you need to board your fur babies, look no further, this is the place! The prices are very fair and include play time so you’re not being nickeled and dimed.
