When choosing a park I always read comments and ratings of others before committing for a stay. After reading some of the comments on Good Luck Park I admit I was a little concerned about staying here. Some comments were worrisome - rude staff, a dangerous location âŠâŠ
Our experience has been NOTHING about my concerns could be further from the truth!
When booking the dates (we booked 3 nights) we asked for an early arrival and a drive through spot. The staff person explained she would do what she could do help us but that it was dependent upon departures of others. That made sense.
Still wondering if the comments that Good luck was dangerous and had rude staff though I was surprised to receive a telephone call the day prior to arrival from a staff person who told me a person left a day early and she had a spot for us at the front of the park and that we could arrive 2 hours early. She was courteous, friendly and an awesome ambassador for Good Luck Park.
Our spot was clean, easily accessible and she even left a hand written note welcoming us to the park.
People can have misunderstandings when communicating but communication is always a two way street. To understand business is to understand that a person or their family relies in part on reviews online to make their business thrive. Making a negative review about a business online doesnât just offer the author an opportunity to vent. It also becomes a permanent blemish which a business must continually defend, fair or not.
Our experience here is 180 degrees from that depicted in the very few negative reviews. We recommend Good Luck Park to anyone seeking an easily accessible park with great access to...
Read moreWhere to begin. If you stay here as a traveler, have a sense of humor. I believe there are only 2 spaces that are not occupied by long term/permanent residents. Those 2 spaces are at the front, literally a stones throw from the interstate. A lot of the sites are RVs inside chain link fences. The traffic nose in non stop and LOUD. We stayed here 5 nights to attend a trade show. There were no other available parks in the area.
The office had bars on all the windows and door to keep people from breaking in. We are fully contained, so didn't see the showers or laundry.
The dog park was decorated with old farm implements and lots of trash and dog crap. I don't think anyone picked up their dog poo. One morning I took the dog and cat out and there were two dogs in the dog park without an owner. Never seen that before. Oh and there was a pet cemetery. That was a bit odd, but some of these people lived here years, so I guess they need a place to bury their pets.
There is an exxon within walking distance that blasted very profane rap thru there speaker system. Lots of people hanging around outside
The first night we were there we heard gun shots. The second night, we actually sat outside by our fire pit and watched a police chase go by on the interstate THREE times. The entire thing was a trip.
That being said, no one tried to steal anything off our tiny site. The few residents we talked to were very nice.
I wouldn't stay here again, if you do. ..good luck getting a decent nights sleep and keep...

So I ended up running in the water on them down the sewer drain the next 3 days straight since I paid for this I figured I might as well use the water in anyway I saw fit...
