The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful, but the home itself needs a lot of help. The carpet was specifically horrendous in The Cranberry Courting Room. The bathroom had old linoleum. The sink was cracked and discolored around the sink drain. There wasn’t a hand bar in the shower. The decor, fixtures, floors, and amenities truly need attention. The linens were clean and they brought fresh towels everyday. Honestly, the breakfast was disappointing. It was eggs everyday since they have chickens. First day was yogurt with blueberries, strawberries and kiwi, then scrambled eggs and ham with bacon and then granola with ice cream. The second day was yogurt and fruit, pancakes with syrup and scrambled eggs with sausage. The third day was yogurt and fruit with eggs and ham in a bread roll. Everyday there was coffee, tea and orange juice. Every afternoon there was dessert in the dining room. First day was chocolate cake, then lemon bars and then chocolate bars. We were hesitant to walk on the carpet without shoes it was that bad. Water pressure was good and the hot water was very hot. The bathroom was very small. Not like it looks in the picture. There isn’t a dresser to put your clothes in just a bar and a self to hang some clothes on and 4 hangers ||Would we...
Read moreI have stayed at Millerhaus 4 times over the past several years! Junior and Mary Miller are wonderful innkeepers and always see to it that you have what you need. Rooms are very clean and quiet, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfasts, hearty and delicious! Mary or one of the girls make the most delicious cookies in the late afternoon; the scent greets guests when they return from a long day of sightseeing! My favorite are the Snickerdoodles! Coffee, decaf and tea are available most of the day! My favorite thing to do in the evening (in September) is sit in a rocker on the wraparound porch and watch the sheep come in! The views are incredible as the Inn sits atop a hill! When it’s cold outside, guests can gather around the fireplace in the comfortable sitting area. There are an abundance of board games and puzzles to do, and even an antique piano! I enjoy meeting and chatting with fellow guests. This is not the kind of B&B for people addicted to screens and noise. Though WiFi is available, tv is not, making Miller Haus a true retreat for those seeking a break from all that distracts and in need of a nervous...
Read moreMy friend Nancy and I spent time with LeeAnn (owner) at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Nancy had never been to a B&B so I wanted her first experience to be positive and memorable. We could not have asked for a more perfect place. The views from the porch were breathtaking, the rooms very warm and welcoming, the food extraordinary and the staff treated us like very special family. Later this month Nancy, myself, and my husband are returning for a long week-end. We are so excited to have this time with LeeAnn and her staff. If you want to get away from the stress and craziness of life this is the perfect place. It' more relaxing and rejuvenating than any spa. Hope you give it a try. Carol Beltz ...
